2.9% w/w, equivalent 
to 1.7% w/w Gentamicin base in the prepared bone cement. 
PRESENTATION 
DePuy CMW 1 Gentamicin Bone Cement, DePuy CMW 2 Gentamicin Bone 
Cement and DePuy CMW 3 Gentamicin Bone Cement are supplied as two-
component presentations consisting of bone
cement powder, containing 
Gentamicin Sulphate, and bone cement liquid. These two
components are 
mixed together before use to form the
prepared bone cement. DePuy CMW 1 
Gentamicin Bone Cement, DePuy CMW 2 Gentamicin Bone
Cement and 
DePuy CMW 3 Gentamicin Bone Cement are available in 20 g or
40 g unit 
packs sizes. Each unit pack consists of 20 g or 40 g
bone cement powder in a 
sterile bag and bone cement liquid in a sterile ampoule.

USES 
ACTIONS 
DePuy CMW 1 Gentamicin Bone Cement, DePuy CMW 2 Gentamicin Bone 
Cement and DePuy CMW 3 Gentamicin Bone Cement are self-curing, 
radiopaque, polymethyl methacrylate based cements,
containing antibiotic, 
used for securing a metal or polymeric prosthesis
to living bone in arthroplasty 
procedures.  The bone cements
have no intrinsic adhesive properties, but rely 
instead on close mechanical interlock between the irregular bone
surface and 
the prosthesis.  

DePuy CMW 1 Gentamicin Bone Cement is a high viscosity cement
intended 
for either digital or syringe application.  
DePuy CMW 2 Gentamicin
Bone Cement is a fast-setting cement designed 
for digital application to small joints such
as the patella of the knee and the hip 
acetabulum.  

DePuy CMW 3 Gentamicin Bone Cement is a medium viscosity cement
that is 
primarily intended for syringe application.�
