Che cos’è Vitamina D3 Streuli e quando si usa?

La Vitamina D3 Streuli è una soluzione oleosa a base di colecalciferolo (vitamina D3).

La vitamina D3 si produce normalmente da sola nella pelle sotto l'influsso dei raggi solari.

La vitamina D3 è necessaria per l'assimilazione del calcio dal nutrimento ed è indispensabile per una

normale formazione delle ossa.

In caso d'insufficiente irradiazione solare, d'insufficiente apporto tramite gli alimenti ricchi di

vitamina D3, come pure in caso di accresciuto fabbisogno durante la crescita, la gravidanza e

l'allattamento, è necessario fornire all'organismo un supplemento di questa vitamina.

Vitamina D3 Streuli viene usata nelle seguenti malattie:

·cura del rammollimento osseo nei bambini (rachitismo);

·cura del rammollimento osseo negli adulti (osteomalacia);

·insufficienza cronica delle ghiandole paratiroidee;

·disturbi funzionali delle ghiandole paratiroidee apparsi improvvisamente, per es. in seguito ad

operazioni;

·crampi muscolari dovuti a una carenza di calcio nel sangue;

Quando non si può usare Vitamina D3 Streuli?

·prenda solo la dose prescrittale dal medico e per la durata prevista.

·eviti l'assunzione di dosi eccessive di vitamina D durante mesi o anni soprattutto in concomitanza

con l'assunzione di calcio e/o alimenti vitaminizzati (per es. preparati per il biberon).

·i preparati contenenti vitamina D non possono essere usati in caso di elevato tasso di calcio nel

sangue o nell'urina come pure nel caso di disturbi dell'escrezione renale.

Quando è richiesta prudenza nella somministrazione della Vitamina D3 Streuli?

Tutte le vitamine D sono dannose se prese in dosi troppo alte (più di 1000-3000 U.I. per kg di peso

corporeo).

In caso di disturbi del metabolismo del calcio, di malattie renali e di malattie cardiache è richiesta

particolare prudenza. In questi casi è necessario consultare il medico.

Informi il suo medico o farmacista nel caso in cui soffre di altre malattie, soffre di allergie o assume

o applica altri medicamenti (anche se acquistati di sua iniziativa!).

Si può somministrare Vitamina D3 Streuli durante la gravidanza o l’allattamento?

In base alle esperienze fatte finora, non sono noti rischi per il bambino se il medicamento è usato

correttamente. Tuttavia non sono ancora state compiute indagini scientifiche sistematiche. Per

precauzione dovrebbe rinunciare nella misura del possibile ad assumere medicamenti durante la

gravidanza e il periodo d'allattamento o chiedere consiglio al proprio medico o al farmacista.

Come usare Vitamina D3 Streuli?

Dose iniziale Il dosaggio deve essere determinato dal medico curante.

Trattamento del rachitismo

Generalmente il medico prescrive:

1,2-2,6 ml (= 4800-10.400 U.I.) al giorno per una settimana, poi 1,2 ml (= 4800 U.I.) al giorno per 6

settimane, infine 0,2-1,2 ml (= 800-4800 U.I.) al giorno per diversi mesi.

Trattamento dell'osteomalacia

Generalmente il medico prescrive:

Inizialmente 1,2-2,6 ml (= 4800-10.400 U.I.) al giorno, quindi 0,2-0,6 ml (= 800-2400 U.I.) al

giorno.

Impiego della soluzione

La Vitamina D3 Streuli deve essere assunta non diluita.

La soluzione è somministrata con un cucchiaio.

È assolutamente necessario verificare che la pipetta non entri in contatto

con la bocca, la saliva o il cibo.

Si attenga alla posologia indicata nel foglietto illustrativo o prescritta dal medico. Se ritiene che

l'azione del medicamento sia troppo debole o troppo forte ne parli al suo medico, al suo farmacista o

al suo droghiere.

Quali effetti collaterali può avere Vitamina D3 Streuli?

Coi dosaggi prescritti non sono stati osservati effetti collaterali.

Se osserva effetti collaterali qui non descritti dovrebbe informare il suo medico o il suo farmacista.

Di che altro occorre tener conto?

Il medicamento non deve essere utilizzato oltre la data indicata con «EXP» sulla confezione.

Conservare nella confezione originale a temperatura ambiente (15-25 °C) e al riparo dalla luce.

Conservare fuori dalla portata dei bambini.

Dopo la prima apertura del flacone, la soluzione deve essere usata entro 3 mesi.

Non usare una soluzione torbida.

Il medico o il farmacista, che sono in possesso di documentazione professionale, possono darle

ulteriori informazioni.
