Che cos'è Vitamina B6 Streuli e quando si usa?

La vitamina B6 è un costituente importante di determinati enzimi che regolano il metabolismo

proteico.

Come tutte le vitamine, la vitamina B6 non può venire sintetizzata dall’organismo e deve quindi

essere apportata dall’esterno. Tale apporto viene in genere assicurato da un’alimentazione

equilibrata. Gli alimenti particolarmente ricchi di vitamina B6 sono il lievito, i cereali, la verdura

verde, il tuorlo d’uovo e il latte.

Le compresse Vitamina B6 Streuli servono ad integrare un apporto vitaminico insufficiente nonché a

prevenire e curare le malattie da carenza di vitamina B6. Tali sindromi da carenza si manifestano ad

esempio in caso di aumentato fabbisogno dovuto all’assunzione di pillole anticoncezionali, deficiente

assorbimento intestinale nel corso di diarree croniche o assunzione di medicamenti che riducono

l’efficacia della vitamina B6 (rimedi antitubercolari, penicillamina, fenitoina, fenobarbitale). I

sintomi da carenza di vitamina B6 sono infiammazioni cutanee, stomatiti e glossiti. Nei casi gravi, la

mancanza di vitamina B6 può causare l’insorgenza di neuriti, anemia, spasmi cerebrali e variazioni

dei flussi elettrici cerebrali.

Quando non si può usare Vitamina B6 Streuli?

Se siete affetti da morbo di Parkinson, non dovete prendere le compresse Vitamina B6 Streuli senza

avere prima consultato il vostro medico, poiché la vitamina B6 assunta in dosi che superano il

normale fabbisogno giornaliero riduce l’azione di certi farmaci antiparkinsoniani.

Il preparato non va preso in caso di nota allergia alla vitamina B6.

Quando è richiesta prudenza nella somministrazione di Vitamina B6 Streuli?

Nei casi di assunzione giornaliera per diversi mesi e superamento della dose possono verificarsi in

qualche caso danni nervosi.

Si raccomanda prudenza, quando si devono prendere determinati medicamenti quali isoniazide,

penicillamina, levodopa, D-cicloserina.

In tali casi è necessario consultare il medico curante.

Informi il suo medico o il suo farmacista nel caso in cui soffre di altre malattie, soffre di allergie o

assume o applica altri medicamenti (anche se acquistati di sua iniziativa!)!

Si può somministrare Vitamina B6 Streuli durante la gravidanza o l'allattamento?

In base alle esperienze fatte finora, non sono noti rischi per il bambino se il farmaco è usato

correttamente. Tuttavia non sono ancora state compiute indagini scientifiche sistematiche. Per

prudenza dovrebbe rinunciare nella misura del possibile ad assumere medicamenti durante la

gravidanza e il periodo d’allattamento o chiedere consiglio al proprio medico o farmacista.

Come usare Vitamina B6 Streuli?

Adulti

Generalmente, il medico curante stabilizza la posologia individualmente.

Dosi giornaliere raccomandate per la prevenzione e la terapia di

-leggeri sintomi di mancanza o bisogni aumentati: ½-1 compressa da 40 mg al giorno

-sintomi di carenza dovuti all’assunzione della pillola anticoncezionale: 1 compressa da 40 mg al

giorno

-sintomi di carenza dovuti all’assunzione di certi rimedi (per esempio antitubercolari o

penicillamina): 40-300 mg al giorno

-gravi sintomi clinici di carenza (per esempio neurite periferica): 120-200 mg al giorno

-gravi sintomi di carenza come una anemia o convulsioni cerebrali: 40-300 mg al giorno.

Bambini

La posologia deve essere individualmente stabilizzata dal medico curante ed è usata in presenza dei

seguenti disturbi:

-segni di carenza in caso di somministrazione di certi medicamenti (come per es. medicamenti contro

la tubercolosi o penicillamina)

-crampi nei neonati e bambini dovuti ad una carenza di vitamina B6

-disturbi dipendenti da piridossina

Le compresse Vitamina B6 Streuli vanno prese senza masticarle, con un po’ di liquido. Prendere le

compresse durante i pasti. Le compresse possono anche essere schiacciate e mescolate con i cibi per i

lattanti ed i bambini piccoli.

Si attenga alla posologia indicata nel foglietto illustrativo o prescritta dal medico. Se ritiene che

l’azione del medicamento sia troppo debole o troppo forte ne parli al suo medico o al suo farmacista.

Quali effetti collaterali può avere Vitamina B6 Streuli?

Con l'assunzione di Vitamina B6 Streuli possono manifestarsi i seguenti effetti collaterali:

Occasionalmente il preparato può provocare la comparsa di un eczema simile all’acne o può

intensificare un’acne già esistente.

L’assunzione di vitamina B6 in dosaggi elevati (> 500 mg al giorno) per mesi o anni può provocare

la comparsa di disturbi neurologici (perdita di sensibilità nelle dita delle mani e dei piedi).

Se osserva effetti collaterali qui non descritti, dovrebbe informare il suo medico o il suo farmacista.

Di che altro occorre tener conto?

Il medicamento non deve essere utilizzato oltre la data indicata con “EXP” sulla confezione.

Conservare a temperatura ambiente (15-25 °C) e fuori dalla portata dei bambini.

Le compresse si prestano ad essere divise.

Il medico o il farmacista, che sono in possesso di documentazione professionale dettagliata, possono

darle ulteriori informazioni.

As a precautionary measure, Camber Pharmaceuticals, Inc. is voluntarily recalling all unexpired lots of Valsartan Tablets, USP, 40mg, 80mg, 160mg and 320mg to the hospital, retail and consumer level. This recall of multiple batches of Valsartan Tablets was prompted due to the detection of trace amounts of N-Nitrosodimethylamine (NDMA), a possible process impurity or contaminant in an active pharmaceutical ingredient, manufactured by Hetero Labs Limited, Unit – I (API manufacturer).
