Pivalone® Compositum

Che cos'è Pivalone Compositum e quando si usa?

Pivalone Compositum contiene due principi attivi: del pivalato di tixocortolo che agisce localmente

sull’infiammazione e della neomicina, un antibiotico che permette di curare le infezioni locali,

dovute a dei germi che gli sono sensibili. Pivalone Compositum è indicato nel trattamento delle

infezioni croniche o stagionali del naso e dei seni paranasali di tipo allergico, o per ogni

infiammazione nasale accompagnata da surinfezioni batteriche.

Pivalone Compositum e anche proposto in caso di piccoli polipi nasali e dei seni. E pure indicato per

una cura dopo un intervento chirurgico dei polipi del naso e dei seni paranasali. Pivalone

Compositum deve essere usato solo dietro prescrizione medica.

Quando non si può usare Pivalone Compositum?

Pivalone Compositum non deve essere usato dalle persone che hanno già presentato una reazione di

tipo allergico ad uno dei costituenti specialmente dei gonfiori localizzati o difficoltà locali della

respirazione.

Quando è richiesta prudenza nella somministrazione di Pivalone Compositum?

Non si consiglia l’uso di Pivalone Compositum per un lungo periodo senza l’avviso del medico.

In caso di uso eccessivo o prolungato nei bambini non si può escludere che il trattamento possa

provocare un ritardo della crescita. Perciò il medico sorveglierà accuratamente la crescita dei

bambini sotto trattamento con Pivalone Compositum per un lungo periodo.

Informi il suo medico o il suo farmacista nel caso in cui

·soffra di altre malattie,

·soffra di allergie o

·assuma o applichi altri medicamenti (anche se acquistati di sua iniziativa).

L’utilità di un trattamento con dei glucocorticosteroidi nei bambini dovrà essere soppesata

accuratamente in rapporto al rischio di un eventuale ritardo della crescita.

Si può somministrare Pivalone Compositum durante la gravidanza o l'allattamento?

In caso di gravidanza o allattamento, domandi l’avviso del suo medico che stabilirà la necessità della

cura.

Come usare Pivalone Compositum?

Salvo avviso contrario del medico:

Per l’adulto e il bambino: 1-2 polverizzazioni in ogni narice 4 volte al giorno. Il trattamento non deve

durare più di 2-3 settimane. Non modifichi di propria iniziativa la posologia prescritta. Se ritiene che

l'azione del medicamento sia troppo debole o troppo forte ne parli al suo medico o al suo farmacista.

Seguire accuratamente le prescrizioni d’uso.

1.Agitare il recipiente, capovolgendolo 5-6 votte. Togliere il cappuccio di protezione.

2.Avviare la polverizzazione con qualche pressioni successive.

3.Introdurre verticalmente la cannuccia nella narice e spingere a fondo.

Quali effetti collaterali può avere Pivalone Compositum?

In seguito all'applicazione di Pivalone Compositum possono manifestarsi i seguenti effetti collaterali:

All’inizio della cura si possono osservare delle reazioni di intolleranza locale (pizzicore). Si è anche

registrata una certa secchezza nel naso come pure delle reazioni locali di tipo allergico che si

manifestano con edemi localizzati (gonfiore) o disagio locale. Se osserva tali manifestazioni voglia

rapidamente informare il suo medico.

Se osserva effetti collaterali qui non descritti, dovrebbe informare il suo medico o il suo farmacista.

Di che altro occorre tener conto?

Tenere fuori dalla portata dei bambini.

Conservare Pivalone Compositum a temperatura ambiente (15-25 °C).

Il medicamento non dev’essere utilizzato oltre la data indicata con «EXP» sulla confezione.

Se è in possesso di un spray nasale, la cui data è scaduta, voglia renderlo al suo farmacista.

Il medico o il farmacista, che sono in possesso di documentazione professionale dettagliata, possono

darle ulteriori informazioni.

Cosa contiene Pivalone Compositum?

1 g di sospensione di Pivalone Compositum contiene 10 mg di pivalato di tixocortolo, 3,5 mg di

neomicina (sotto forma di solfato), del N-cetilpiridinio (come conservante), dell’alcool benzilico.

Ossia circa 110 polverizzazioni in ogni flaconi di 10 ml.
