COMPOSITION:
Each film-coated tablet contains:
Finasteride 1 mg

THE MEDICINE IS INTENDED FOR USE IN MEN ONLY AND IS
NOT INTENDED FOR USE IN WOMEN OR CHILDREN.
1. WHAT IS THE MEDICINE INTENDED FOR?
Finasteride Teva is intended to increase scalp hair
growth and prevent further hair loss in men with male
pattern hair loss )androgenetic alopecia(.
THERAPEUTIC GROUP: 5-alpha reductase inhibitors.
2. BEFORE USING THE MEDICINE
DO NOT USE THE MEDICINE IF:
• You are a woman )because this medicine is intended
for men(. Clinical trials have shown that finasteride
is not effective as a treatment for women suffering
from hair loss.
• You are sensitive )allergic( to the active ingredient
or to any of the additional ingredients contained in
the medicine )see section 6 – “Further Information”(.
• You are already taking finasteride or dutasteride,
used for a prostate problem called benign prostatic
hyperplasia )BPH(.
Do not take Finasteride Teva if any of the above apply to
you. If you are not sure, talk to your doctor or pharmacist.
SPECIAL WARNINGS REGARDING USE OF THE MEDICINE:
