Abevmy in combination with fluoropyrimidine-based chemotherapy is indicated for treatment of adult patients with metastatic carcinoma of the colon or rectum. Abevmy in combination with paclitaxel is indicated for first-line treatment of adult patients with metastatic breast cancer. Abevmy in combination with capecitabine is indicated for first-line treatment of adult patients with metastatic breast cancer in whom treatment with other chemotherapy options including taxanes or anthracyclines is not considered appropriate. Patients who have received taxane and anthracycline containing regimens in the adjuvant setting within the last 12 months should be excluded from treatment with Abevmy in combination with capecitabine. Abevmy enthält den wirksamen Bestandteil Bevacizumab, einen humanisierten monoklonalen Antikörper (ein bestimmter Eiweißstoff, der normalerweise vom Immunsystem gebildet wird, um den Körper vor Infektionen und Krebs zu schützen). Bevacizumab bindet selektiv an ein Protein mit der Bezeichnung „Human Vascular Endothelial Growth Factor“ (VEGF), ein menschlicher Gefäßwachstumsfaktor, der im Inneren der Blut- und Lymphgefäße des Körpers vorkommt. Das Protein VEGF bewirkt das Wachstum der Blutgefäße in einem Tumor, die wiederum den Tumor mit Nährstoffen und Sauerstoff versorgen. 1 ANHANG I ZUSAMMENFASSUNG DER MERKMALE DES ARZNEIMITTELS 2 Dieses Arzneimittel unterliegt einer zusätzlichen Überwachung. Dies ermöglicht eine schnelle Identifizierung neuer Erkenntnisse über die Sicherheit. Angehörige von Gesundheitsberufen sind aufgefordert, jeden Verdachtsfall einer Nebenwirkung zu melden. Hinweise zur Meldung von Nebenwirkungen, siehe Abschnitt 4.8. 1. BEZEICHNUNG DES ARZNEIMITTELS Abevmy 25 mg/ml Konzentrat zur Herstellung einer Infusionslösung. 2. QUALITATIVE UND QUANTITATIVE ZUSAMMENSETZUNG Jeder Milliliter Konzentrat enthält 25 mg Bevacizumab*. Jede Durchstechflasche zu 4 ml enthält 100 mg Bevacizumab. Jede Durchstechflasche zu 16 ml enthält 400 mg Bevacizumab. Zur Verdünnung und sonstige Hinweise zur Handhabung, siehe Abschnitt 6.6. *Bevacizumab ist ein rekombinanter humanisierter monoklonaler Antikörper, der mittels DNA- Technologie aus Ovarialzellen des chinesischen Hamsters (CHO-Zellen) gewonnen wird. Sonstige Bestandteile mit bekannter Wirkung Jede Durchstechflasche zu 4 ml enthält 4,196 mg Natrium. Jede Durchstechflasche zu 16 ml enthält 16,784 mg Natrium. Klare bis leicht opalisierende, farblose bis schwach braune Flüssigkeit mit einem pH von 5,70 bis 6,40, einer Osmolalität von 0,251 – 0,311 Osmol/kg und frei von sichtbaren Partikeln. 4. KLINISCHE ANGABEN 4.1 ANWENDUNGSGEBIETE Abevmy wird in Kombination mit einer Chemotherapie auf Fluoropyrimidin-Basis zur Behandlung von erwachsenen Patienten mit metastasiertem Kolon- oder Rektumkarzinom angewendet. Abevmy wird in Kombination mit Paclitaxel zur _First-Line_ -Behandlung von erwachsenen Patienten mit metastasiertem Mammakarzinom angewendet.
