Paţljivo proĉitajte cijelu uputu prije nego poĉnete uzimati ovaj lijek jer sadrţi Vama vaţne

ŠTO JE RENNIE I ZA ŠTO SE KORISTI?

Rennie je antacid, lijek za smanjivanje kiselosti želučanog soka, a sadrži kalcijev karbonat i magnezijev

subkarbonat, teški.

Koristi se u odraslih i djece starije od 12 godina za kratkotrajno ublažavanje simptoma prekomjernog

lučenja želučane kiseline kao npr. žgaravice, vraćanja želučane kiseline, epizodnih želučanih bolova te

loše probave.

Obavezno se obratite liječniku ako se ne osjećate bolje ili ako se osjećate lošije nakon 7 dana.

ŠTO MORATE ZNATI PRIJE NEGO POĈNETE UZIMATI RENNIE?

Nemojte uzimati Rennie:

ako ste alergični na djelatne tvari ili bilo koji drugi sastojak ovog lijeka (naveden u dijelu 6.);

ako imate hiperkalcemiju (povišena koncentracija kalcija u krvi) i/ili stanja koja uzrokuju

hiperkalcemiju,

ako imate hiperkalciuriju (pojačano izlučivanje kalcija putem mokraće);

ako imate kamence u bubregu koji nastaju zbog taloženja kalcija;

ako imate teško zatajenje bubrega;

ako imate hipofosfatemiju (sniženu koncentraciju fosfata u krvi).

Upozorenja i mjere opreza

Dugotrajnu uporabu lijeka treba izbjegavati. Preporučena doza ne smije se prekoračiti.

Ovaj lijek ne smije se uzimati neprekidno dulje od 7 dana bez savjetovanja s liječnikom.

Ukoliko se simptomi javljaju povremeno i postoji potreba za čestom primjenom lijeka, potrebno je

potražiti savjet liječnika.

Kao i kod ostalih antacida, Rennie tablete mogu prikriti simptome ozbiljnijeg stanja poput maligne

bolesti želuca.

Potreban je oprez ukoliko imate oštećenu funkciju bubrega. Ako se kalcijev karbonat i magnezijev

subkarbonat, teški koriste u bolesnika s oštećenom funkcijom bubrega treba redovito nadzirati razine

kalcija, fosfata i magnezija u krvi.

Dugotrajno uzimanje visokih doza lijeka može dovesti do nuspojava kao što su hiperkalcemija (povišena

koncentracija kalcija u krvi), hipermagnezemija (povišena koncentracija magnezija u krvi) i mliječno-

alkalni sindrom posebno u bolesnika s zatajenjem bubrega.

Rennie se ne smije koristiti u slučajevima hiperkalciurije (pojačano izlučivanje kalcija putem mokraće).

Produljeno uzimanje lijeka Rennie može povećati rizik od nastanka bubrežnih kamenaca.

Soli magnezija mogu prouzročiti depresiju središnjeg živčanog sustava u bolesnika s zatajenjem bubrega.

Djeca i adolescenti

Rennie se ne preporuča u djece i adolescenata mlaĎih od 12 godina zbog nedostatnih podataka o sigurnosti

i djelotvornosti.

Drugi lijekovi i Rennie

Obavijestite svog liječnika ili ljekarnika ako uzimate, ste nedavno uzeli ili biste mogli uzeti bilo koje druge

lijekove.

Ako uzimate:

antibiotike (tetracikline, kinolone),

lijekove za liječenje zatajenja srca (glikozide npr. digoksin),

lijekove za izmokravanje (tiazidske diuretike),

levotiroksin (lijek za štitnu žlijezdu)

fosfate, fluoride, preparate koji sadrže željezo, eltrombopag

prije uzimanja Rennie tableta obratite se Vašem liječniku ili ljekarniku.

Preporučuje se uzimanje Rennie tableta za žvakanje odvojeno od drugih lijekova, primjerice u razmaku od

jedan do dva sata.

Rennie s hranom i pićem

Rennie se ne smije uzimati s velikim količinama mlijeka ili mliječnih proizvoda.

Trudnoća i dojenje

Ako ste trudni ili dojite, mislite da biste mogli biti trudni ili planirate imati dijete, obratite se svom

liječniku ili ljekarniku za savjet prije nego uzmete ovaj lijek.

Rennie se može uzimati tijekom trudnoće i dojenja ako se uzima prema preporukama liječnika, ali

produljeno uzimanje visokih doza lijeka se mora izbjegavati. U trudnica se mora ograničiti primjena ovog

lijeka do maksimalne preporučene dnevne doze.

Tijekom trudnoće i dojenja treba imati na umu da kalcijev karbonat i magnezijev subkarbonat, teški

osiguravaju znatnu količinu kalcija povrh kalcija koji se dobiva putem hrane. Iz tog razloga trudnice

moraju ograničiti uzimanje kalcijevog karbonata i magnezijevog subkarbonata, teškog na jedan tjedan i

izbjegavati istodobno uzimanje većih količina mlijeka (1 l sadrži do 1,2 g elementarnog kalcija) i

mliječnih proizvoda kako bi se spriječilo preopterećenje kalcijem koje može dovesti do tzv. mliječno-

alkalnog sindroma, rijetkog, ali ozbiljnog stanja koje zahtjeva liječenje.

Upravljanje vozilima i strojevima

Ne očekuje se utjecaj ovog lijeka na sposobnost upravljanja vozilima i rada sa strojevima.

Rennie sadrţi saharozu

Ovaj lijek sadrži 475 mg saharoze u jednoj tableti za žvakanje. O tome treba voditi računa u bolesnika s

šećernom bolesti.

Ako Vam je liječnik rekao da ne podnosite neke šećere, posavjetujte se sa svojim liječnikom prije nego što

počnete uzimati ovaj lijek.

KAKO UZIMATI RENNIE?

Uvijek uzmite ovaj lijek točno onako kako Vam je rekao Vaš liječnik ili ljekarnik. Provjerite s Vašim

liječnikom ili ljekarnikom ako niste sigurni.

Odrasli i djeca starija od 12 godina

Preporučena doza je 1-2 tablete za žvakanje kao pojedinačn

jedan sat nakon obroka i prije

spavanja. U slučaju žgaravice ili želučanih bolova ta doza se može povećati, ali do maksimalno 11 tableta

na dan.

Rennie ne smijete uzimati neprekidno dulje od 7 dana bez savjetovanja s liječnikom.

Djeca i adolescenti

Rennie se ne preporuča u djece i adolescenata mlaĎih od 12. godina zbog nedostatnih podataka o

sigurnosti i djelotvornosti.

Naĉin primjene:

Kroz usta. Tablete treba sažvakati ili otopiti u ustima. Tekućina nije potrebna.

Ako uzmete više lijeka Rennie nego što ste trebali

Dugotrajno uzimanje visokih doza Rennie tableta za žvakanje može dovesti do zatajenja bubrega,

hipermagnezemije,

hiperkalcemije

alkaloze

što

može

uzrokovati

probavne

smetnje

(mučnina,

povraćanje, umor, smetenost, učestalo mokrenje, pojačan osjećaj žeĎi, dehidracija, zatvor) i mišićne

slabosti.

U tim slučajevima treba prekinuti uzimanje lijeka i poticati primjeren unos tekućine.

U težim slučajevima predoziranja (npr. mliječno-alkalni sindrom) treba zatražiti savjet liječnika zbog

moguće potrebe drugih mjera rehidracije (npr. infuzija).

U slučaju bilo kakvih nejasnoća ili pitanja u vezi s primjenom ovog lijeka, obratite se svom liječniku ili

ljekarniku.

4.

MOGUĆE NUSPOJAVE

Kao i svi lijekovi, ovaj lijek može uzrokovati nuspojave iako se one neće razviti kod svakoga.

Zabilježene su sljedeće nuspojave:

reakcije

preosjetljivosti uključujući osip, koprivnjaču, angioedem (uključuje simptome otok

usnica, jezika i ždrijela), anafilaksiju (uključuje simptome otežanog disanja, ubrzanog rada srca,

promjene stanja svijesti do gubitka svijesti),

hipermagnezemija (s antacidima koji sadrže magnezij) ili hiperkalcemija i alkaloza koje mogu

dovesti do želučanih simptoma i mišićne slabosti, mučnina, povraćanje, želučane tegobe, proljev.

Prijavljivanje nuspojava

Ako primijetite bilo koju nuspojavu, potrebno je obavijestiti liječnika ili ljekarnika. Ovo uključuje i

svaku moguću nuspojavu koja nije navedena u ovoj uputi. Nuspojave možete prijaviti izravno putem

nacionalnog sustava za prijavu nuspojava navedenog u Dodatku V. Prijavljivanjem nuspojava možete

pridonijeti u procjeni sigurnosti ovog lijeka.

5.

KAKO ĈUVATI RENNIE?

Ovaj lijek čuvajte izvan pogleda i dohvata djece. Čuvati na temperaturi ispod 25ºC.

Ovaj lijek se ne smije upotrijebiti nakon isteka roka valjanosti navedenog na kutiji iza „Rok valjanosti“.

Rok valjanosti odnosi se na zadnji dan navedenog mjeseca.

Nikada nemojte nikakve lijekove bacati u otpadne vode ili kućni otpad. Pitajte svog ljekarnika kako

baciti lijekove koje više ne koristite. Ove će mjere pomoći u očuvanju okoliša.

Djelatne tvari su kalcijev karbonat i magnezijev subkarbonat, teški. Jedna tableta za žvakanje
