Ultiva is indicated for I.V. administration as an analgesic for use during induction and maintenance of general anaesthesia for inpatient and outpatient procedures under direct supervision of an anesthetist. Remifentanil is indicated for provision of analgesia and sedation in mechanically ventilated intensive care patients.
