WHAT IS AND WHAT IT IS USED FOR
is an anticancer medicine containing the active
substance everolimus. Everolimus
reduces the blood supply to the tumour and slows down the growth and
spread of cancer cells.
is used to treat adult patients with:
-
hormone receptor-positive advanced breast cancer in postmenopausal
women, in whom other
treatments (so called “non-steroidal aromatase inhibitors”) no
longer keep the disease under
control. It is given together with a medicine called exemestane, a
steroidal aromatase inhibitor,
which is used for hormonal anticancer therapy.
-
advanced tumours called neuroendocrine tumours that originate from the
stomach, bowels, lung
or pancreas. It is given if the tumours are inoperable and do not
overproduce specific hormones
or other related natural substances.
-
advanced kidney cancer (advanced renal cell carcinoma), where other
treatments (so-called
“VEGF-targeted therapy”) have not helped stop your disease.

Vit till benvit avlång tablett, 9,6 x 4,5 mm präglade med ”E”
på ena sidan och ”2.5” på den andra.
Everolimus Ethypharm 5 mg tabletter
Vit till benvit avlång tablett, 12,5 x 5,0 mm präglade med ”E”
på ena sidan och ”5” på den andra.
Everolimus Ethypharm 10 mg tabletter
Vit till benvit avlång tablett, 16,0 x 6,5 mm präglade med ”E”

KLINISKA UPPGIFTER
4.1
TERAPEUTISKA INDIKATIONER
Hormonreceptorpositiv avancerad bröstcancer
Everolimus Ethypharm är indicerat för behandling av
hormonreceptorpositiv och HER2/neu-negativ
avancerad bröstcancer hos postmenopausala kvinnor utan symtomatisk
visceral sjukdom i
kombination med exemestan i samband med recidiv eller sjukdomsprogress
efter tidigare behandling
med en icke-steroid aromatashämmare.

Neuroendokrina tumörer med ursprung från pankreas
Everolimus Ethypharm är indicerat för behandling av inoperabel eller
metastaserande, väl eller
måttligt differentierade, neuroendokrina tumörer med ursprung från
pankreas hos vuxna med
progredierad sjukdom.
Neuroendokrina tumörer med ursprung från mag-tarmkanalen eller
lungorna
