GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS:

Vitaflo Seed Treatment is a suspension concentrate (flowable) seed dressing for treatment of

wheat, barley and oats by standard methods.

Crop Establishment: Vitaflo Seed Treatment is compatible with most registered water-

miscible grain protectant insecticides added at rates recommended for admixture to grain. As

formulations are subject to change without notice, always check the compatibility of the mixes

at the intended use ratios in a small container prior to use. Always read Manufacturer’s

Instructions and Safety Directions on the product labels and product information leaflets.

Mixing & Application: Vitaflo Seed Treatment may be applied to seed undiluted or may be

mixed with water if required to achieve optimum coverage of grain. This requirement will

depend on the equipment in use and the rates to be applied. Use only through equipment

designed to apply suspension concentrate or slurry seed treatments to grain.

Seed Quality: Seed treatment should not be used on seed with more than 12% moisture

content, or on sprung, damaged or severely pinched seed, or seed of poor viability. If in doubt,

have a germination test carried out on the seed before treatment to ensure that it is of acceptable

standard.

Storage of Treated Seed: If seed is not used immediately after treatment, it should be stored in

a dry, well-ventilated place. Although Vitaflo Seed Treatment has no effect on the viability of

treated seed, subsequent germination can be adversely affected by poor storage conditions such

as high moisture combined with high temperatures. No liability can therefore be accepted for

performance of stored treated seed. Treated seed should not be held over from one sowing

season for sowing in subsequent seasons.

Fungicide Resistance Warning:

GROUP

G

FUNGICIDE

Vitaflo Seed Treatment is a member of the Oxathiin group of fungicides. For fungicide

resistance management, Vitaflo Seed Treatment is a Group G fungicide.

Some naturally occurring individual fungi resistant to Vitaflo Seed Treatment and other Group

G fungicides may exist through normal genetic variability in any fungal population. The

resistant individuals can eventually dominate the fungi population if these fungicides are used

repeatedly. These resistant fungi will not be controlled by Vitaflo Seed Treatment and other

Group G fungicides, thus resulting in a reduction in efficacy and possible yield loss.

Since the occurrence of resistant fungi is difficult to detect prior to use, Crompton Specialties

Pty Ltd accepts no liability for any losses that may result from the failure of Vitaflo Seed

Treatment to control resistant fungi.

PRECAUTIONS:

Do not use treated seed for animal or human consumption. Do not allow treated seed to

contaminate grain or other seed intended for animal or human consumption. Do not feed treated

seed, or otherwise expose, to wild or domestic birds.

PROTECTION OF LIVESTOCK:

DO NOT feed treated seed to animals, including poultry. It is important that any treated seed

not used for sowing is destroyed. Bags which have held treated seed should not be used for any

other purpose. When treated seed is stored, it should be kept apart from other grain and the bags

(or other containers) should be clearly marked to indicate the contents have been treated with

Vitaflo Seed Treatment.

PROTECTION OF WILDLIFE, FISH, CRUSTACEANS AND ENVIRONMENT:

DO NOT contaminate streams, rivers or waterways and drains with this product or used

containers or with bags which have held treated seed.

STORAGE AND DISPOSAL:

Store in the tightly closed, original container in a cool, dry, well-ventilated area out of direct

sunlight and away from foodstuffs, drink containers and livestock. Do not use container for any

other purpose.

Triple, or preferably, pressure rinse containers before disposal. Add rinsings to spray tank. Do

not dispose of undiluted chemicals on-site. If recycling, replace cap and return clean containers

to recycler or designated collection point.

If not recycling, break, crush, or puncture and bury empty containers in a local authority landfill.

If no landfill is available, bury the containers below 500 mm in a disposal pit specifically

marked and set up for this purpose clear of waterways, desirable vegetation and tree roots.

Empty containers and product should not be burnt.

SAFETY DIRECTIONS:

Will irritate the eyes, nose, throat and skin. Avoid contact with eyes and skin. Do not inhale

spray mist. When using the product, wear elbow length PVC gloves and face shield. When

handling treated seed, wear elbow-length PVC gloves. After use and before eating, drinking or

smoking, wash hands, arms and face thoroughly with soap and water. After each day's use,

wash gloves, face shield and contaminated clothing.

FIRST AID:

If poisoning occurs, contact a doctor or Poisons Information Centre. Phone Australia 131 126.
