HEALTHHAZARD INFORMATION

This product is not classified as hazardous accordingto the criteria of the National Occupational Health

&SafetyCommission.

HEALTHEFFECTS:

Noadverse health effects expected if the product is handled in accordance with this SafetyData Sheet

and the product label.

ACUTE

Swallowed: Swallowingcan result in nausea, vomitingand central nervous system

depression. Ifthe patient is uncoordinated, there is a greater likelihood of vomit

enteringthe lungs and causingsubsequent complications.

Eye: Contact with eyes can cause irritation.

Skin: Contact with skin will result in irritation. Will havea degreasingaction on the

skin. Cyclohexanol can be absorbed through the skin with resultant toxic

effects.

Acute dermal lowest lethal dose -12 000 mg/kg(rabbit)

Inhaled: Vapor is an irritant to mucous membranes and respiratorytract. Inhalation of

the vapor can result in headaches, dizziness and possible nausea. Inhalation of

highconcentrations can produce central nervous systemdepression, which can

lead to loss of co-ordination, impaired judgement and, if exposure is prolonged,

unconsciousness.

CHRONIC

Skin: Repeated or prolonged skin contact maylead to irritant contact dermatitis.

FIRST AID:

Ifpoisoningoccurs contact a doctor or Poison Information Centre on 131 126.

Swallowed: Rinse mouth with water. Givewater to drink. Seekimmediate medical

assistance.

Eye: Hold eye(s) open and flush with water for at least 15 minutes. Seekimmediate

medical advice

Skin: Wash thoroughlywith water. Removecontaminated clothingand wash skin.

Seekimmediate medical advice.

Inhaled: Removeto fresh air. Removecontaminated clothingand loosen remaining

clothing. Keep patient warm, relaxed and comfortable until fullyrecovered. If

breathinglabored and patient cyanotic (blue) ensure airways are clear and have

a qualified person giveoxygen through a facemask. Ifbreathinghas stopped,

immediatelyapplyartificial respiration at once. Inevent of a cardiac arrest,

applyexternal cardiac massage. Seekmedical advice.
