PATIENT LEAFLET AS PER THE PHARMACISTS’
REGULATIONS (PRODUCTS) - 1986

Simethicone 40 mg/0.6 ml
Content of sodium in each 1 ml: 0.875 mg
Polysorbate 80, Sorbitan Monostearate 60,
Microcrystalline Cellulose, Strawberry Flavour,
Citric Acid (anhydrous), Sodium Benzoate, Sodium
Citrate, Xanthan Gum, Saccharin Sodium, Purified
Therapeutic Group: Medicine for relief of
Therapeutic Action: Antiflatulent.
This medicine is intended for the relief of stomach
pains in infants and young children caused by gas
When should the product not be used?
Do not use this medicine if the child is
hypersensitive to one of its ingredients.
If the child is sensitive to any type of food or
medicine, consult your doctor prior to commencing
If the child is taking another medicine, or if he/she
has just finished treatment with another medicine,
you must consult your doctor to avoid risks or
inefficacy arising from drug interactions.
In addition to the desired effects of the drug, some
side effects may appear during treatment with this
If you notice side effects not mentioned in this
leaflet or if there has been any change in the child's
general health, consult your doctor immediately.
Side Effects and Drug Interactions in Children
Parents should inform the doctor of any side effects
developed after the administration of the preparation
and about any other medicine being administered
to the child!
Recommended Dosage - unless otherwise
specified by the doctor:
0.3 ml (20 mg) before each meal. Dosage may be
increased to 0.6 ml (40 mg) if required.
Do not exceed 12 doses of 0.3 ml or 6 doses of
0.6 ml (totalling 240 mg) a day.
During treatment with this medicine, it is advisable
to consult a doctor for the purpose of diagnosing
the cause of flatulence.
Instructions for Use:
Fill the enclosed syringe with the desired amount
and drip into the mouth. Separate the parts of the
syringe after use. Rinse with lukewarm water and
soap, and dry.
This medicine and any other medicine must be
kept in a closed place out of the reach of children
and/or infants to avoid poisoning.
If the child has taken an overdose, or by mistake
a child swallowed this medicine, go to the
emergency room of the hospital immediately and
take the package of medicine with you.
Do not induce vomiting unless clearly indicated by

Discard one month after opening.
Even if stored according to its recommended
instructions, medicines have a limited life. Pay
attention to the expiry date of the product! If in
