STORAGE AND DISPOSAL

Store in the closed, original container in a cool, well ventilated area. Do not store for prolonged periods in direct sunlight.

Triple or preferably pressure rinse containers before disposal. Add rinsings to spray tank. Do not dispose of undiluted

chemicals on site. If recycling, replace cap and return clean containers to recycler or designated collection point.

If not recycling, break, crush, or puncture and bury empty containers in a local authority landfill. If no landfill is available,

bury the containers below 500mm in a disposal pit specifically marked and set up for this purpose clear of waterways,

desirable vegetation and tree roots. Empty containers and product should not be burnt.

Keep out of reach of children. Product will irritate the eyes and skin. Avoid contact with eyes and skin. Do not inhale

spray mist. When preparing product for use, wear elbow-length PVC gloves and face shield or goggles. After use and

before eating, drinking or smoking, wash hands, arms and face thoroughly with soap and water. After each day’s use, wash

contaminated clothing, gloves and face shield or goggles. When using controlled droplet applicator, wear protective

waterproof clothing and impervious footwear.

GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS

Sipcam Glyphosate 450 is a non-selective, water soluble liquid herbicide effective in the control of many annual and

perennial grasses and broadleaf weeds in crop areas, land preparations and non-crop areas.

Sipcam Glyphosate 450 is inactivated in soil and does not provide residual weed control.

Sipcam Glyphosate 450 is absorbed by the plant foliage and green stems and moves through the plant from point of

contact to root system.

Visible effects are gradual yellowing, and wilting of the plant which advances to complete browning of growth above

the ground and deterioration of underground plant parts.

Visible effects takes 3 to 7 days on annual weeds, whereas on perennial weeds it may take 2 to 3 weeks or longer

depending on weather conditions following spraying.

No withholding period is required for this product. However to ensure herbicide absorption, grazing of treated areas

should be delayed at least one day after treatment of annual weeds and 7 days for perennial weeds.

MIXING

Clean spray tank and assure it is free from residues of previous spray materials.

Fill the spray tank with half the required amount of clean water. Add the required amount of Sipcam Glyphosate 450

and mix well before adding the remaining water.

If surfactant is required, add this last to minimise foaming.

Agitate well before spraying.

When preparing spray solution, use clean water since hard water containing calcium salts could inactivate glyphosate.

Spray solutions of this product should be mixed, stored and applied only in stainless steel, aluminum, brass, copper,

fiberglass, plastic or plastic lined spray tanks. Do not mix or store the product or spray solutions in galvanized steel or

unlined steel (except stainless steel).

TANK MIXES

Atrazines/Triazines

Sipcam Glyphosate 450 may be tank mixed with Atrazine Flowable or Triazine Flowable for knockdown and residual

weed control.

Addition of crystalline ammonium sulphate at 2% w/v (2 kg/100 litre spray solution) is recommended to avoid

antagonism.

Dicamba

Sipcam Glyphosate 450 and Dicamba may be tank mixed for more effective control of Sorrel, Sub. Clover, medics.

2,4-D Esters

Sipcam Glyphosate 450 may be tank mixed with 2,4-D Ester for improved control of broadleaf weeds.

APPLICATION

Boom Equipment

Use at spray volume of 25 to 100 L/ha. Fan nozzles at pressure of 240 - 280 Kpa is recommended. Boom height must

be set to ensure double overlap of nozzle patterns at the top of the weed canopy.

Knapsack and Handgun Equipment

Adjust equipment to deliver a fine spray pattern and ensure a complete and uniform wetting of all foliage.

Do not spray in conditions conducive to spray drift.

WEED RESISTANCE WARNING

Sipcam Glyphosate 450 Herbicide is a member of the glycine group of herbicides. Sipcam Glyphosate 450 Herbicide has

the inhibitor of EPSP synthase mode of action. For weed resistance management Sipcam Glyphosate 450 Herbicide is a

Group M Herbicide.

Some naturally occurring weed biotypes resistant to Sipcam Glyphosate 450 Herbicide and other triazine herbicides may

exist through normal genetic variability in any weed population. The resistant individuals can eventually dominate the weed

population if these herbicides are used repeatedly. These resistant weeds will not be controlled by Sipcam Glyphosate 450

Herbicide or any other glycine herbicide.

Since the occurrence of resistant weeds is difficult to detect prior to use , Sipcam Pacific Australia Pty Limited accepts no

liability for any losses that may result from the failure of Sipcam Pacific Glyphosate 450 Herbicide to control resistant

weeds.

PROTECTION OF WILDLIFE, FISH, CRUSTACEANS AND ENVIRONMENT

DO NOT contaminate dams, rivers or streams with the product or used containers.

Do NOT apply to weeds growing in or over water. Do NOT spray across open bodies of water

Avoid contamination of seed, feed or foodstuffs. Keep container closed to prevent spills and contamination.

PROTECTION OF CROP, NATIVE AND OTHER NON-TARGET PLANTS.

Contact with desirable plants and trees may cause severe damage or destruction.

Do not spray in conditions conducive to spray drift.

Do not spray using equipment which might lead to spray drift to nearby susceptible plants and adjacent crops.

Do not re-use container for any other purpose.

Major Health Hazards:Glyphosate is practically nontoxic by ingestion and skinabsorption,with a reportedacute

oral LD

of 5600 mg/kg in the rat. Glyphosate isreportedly notirritating to the skin of rabbits, and does not induce

skin sensitization in guineapigs. It doescause eye irritation in rabbits. Some formulationsmay cause much more

extreme irritation of the skin or eyes. Ina number of human volunteers, patch tests produced no visibleskin changes

or sensitization. This product isirritatingto eyes andskin.

SECTION 4 - FIRSTAID MEASURES

General Information:

You should call The Poisons Information Centre if youfeel that you may have been poisoned, burned orirritated by

times.Have thisMSDS withyou when you call.

Inhalation:No first aid measuresnormally required.However, if inhalation hasoccurred, andirritation has

developed, remove to freshair and observe until recovered.If irritation becomespainful or persistsmore than about

30 minutes, seek medical advice.

Skin Contact:Wash gently and thoroughly with warm water (usenon-abrasivesoap if necessary) for 10-20 minutes

or until product is removed.Underrunning water, remove contaminated clothing,shoes and leather goods (e.g.

watchbands and belts) and completely decontaminate them before reuse ordiscard. Ifirritation persists, repeat

flushingandseekmedicalattention.

Eye Contact:Immediately flush the contaminated eye(s) with lukewarm, gentlyflowing water for 20 minutes oruntil

the product is removed, while holding the eyelid(s) open.Take carenot to rinsecontaminatedwater into the

unaffectedeye or onto theface. Obtainmedical attention immediately. Take special care if exposed personis wearing

contact lenses.

Ingestion:If swallowed, doNOT induce vomiting. Wash mouth with water and contact a Poisons Information

Centre, or calla doctor.

use a respirator. Usually, no respiratoris necessary when using thisproduct. However, if you have any doubts consult

the AustralianStandard mentioned below (section8).Otherwise, not normally necessary.

Stop leak if safe to do so, and containspill. Absorb onto sand, vermiculite orother suitable absorbent material. If spill

is too large or if absorbent material isnot available, try tocreate adike to stopmaterialspreading orgoinginto drains

or waterways. Sweep up and shovel orcollect recoverable product into labelledcontainers for recycling orsalvage,

and disposeof promptly. Recyclecontainers wherever possible after careful cleaning. Refer to product label for

specific instructions. After spills, wash area preventingrunoff from entering drains. If a significant quantity ofmaterial

enters drains, advise emergencyservices. Full detailsregarding disposal of usedcontainers, spillage and unused

material maybe found onthe label. If there is any conflict betweenthis MSDS and the label, instructionsonthe label

prevail. Ensure legality of disposal by consulting regulationsprior todisposal. Thoroughly launder protectiveclothing

weakness, nausea, dizziness, confusion,dimness of vision, disturbance of judgment, and unconsciousness followed

by coma and death.

SECTION 11- TOXICOLOGICALINFORMATION

Acute toxicity:Oral LD

valuesfor glyphosate are greater than 10,000 mg/kg inmice, rabbits, and goats. The

toxicities of the technical acid (glyphosate) and the formulated product arenearly the same. It is practically nontoxic

by skin exposure, with reported dermal LD

values of greaterthan5000 mg/kg for the acid and isopropylamine salt.

The trimethylsulfonium salthas a reported dermal LD

of greater than 2000 mg/kg. The reported 4-hour rat inhalation

values for the technical acid and salts were 5 to12 mg/L , indicating moderate toxicity via thisroute.Some

formulationsmay showhighacute inhalation toxicity.Whileit doescontain a phosphatylfunctional group, it is not

structurally similar to organophosphate pesticideswhichcontain organophosphate esters, andit does not significantly

inhibit cholinesteraseactivity.

Chronic toxicity:Studies of glyphosatelastingup to2 years, havebeen conducted with rats, dogs, mice, and

rabbits, andwith few exceptions noeffects were observed. For example, in a chronic feedingstudy with rats, no toxic

effects were observed inrats given doses ashigh as400 mg/kg/day. Also, no toxic effectswere observedin a chronic

feedingstudywith dogs fed up to 500 mg/kg/day, the highest dosetested.

Reproductiveeffects:Laboratory studies showthat glyphosate produces reproductive changes in test animals very

rarely and thenonly at very high doses (over 150 mg/kg/day). It is unlikely that the compoundwould produce

reproductiveeffects in humans.

Teratogenic effects:In a teratology study with rabbits, no developmentaltoxicity was observed in the foetusesat the

highest dosetested (350 mg/kg/day). Glyphosate does not appear tobe teratogenic.

Mutagenic effects:Glyphosate mutagenicity and genotoxicity assayshave beennegative. It appears that glyphosate

is not mutagenic.

Carcinogenic effects:Rats given oraldoses of up to400 mg/kg/day did not show any signs of cancer, nor did dogs

given oral dosesof up to 500 mg/kg/day or mice fed glyphosate at doses of up to4500 mg/kg/day. It appears that

glyphosate isnot carcinogenic.

Organ toxicity:Some microscopic liverand kidney changes, but noobservable differencesinfunction or toxic

effects, havebeenseenafter lifetime administration ofglyphosate totest animals.

Fate in humans and animals:Glyphosate is poorlyabsorbed fromthe digestive tract and islargely excreted

unchanged bymammals.At 10 days after treatment, there were only minute amounts in the tissues of ratsfed

glyphosate for 3 weeks. Cows, chickens,and pigsfed small amounts of glyphosate had undetectable levels(less than

0.05 ppm) in muscle tissueand fat. Levels in milk and eggs were also undetectable (less than0.025 ppm).

Glyphosate has nosignificant potential to accumulate in animal tissue. There is nodata to hand indicating any

particular target organs.

Effects on birds:Glyphosate is not harmful to wild birds. The dietary LC

in both mallards andbobwhite quail is

greaterthan4500 ppm.

Effects on aquatic organisms:Technical glyphosate acid ispractically nontoxicto fish andmay be slightlytoxic to

aquaticinvertebrates. Thereported 96-hour LC

values for other aquaticspecies include greater than 10mg/L in

Atlantic oysters, 934 mg/L in fiddler crab, and 281 mg/Lin shrimp. The 48-hour LC

for glyphosate in Daphnia (water

flea), an important food source for freshwater fish, is 780mg/L. Some formulations may be more toxic to fish and

aquaticspecies due to differencesin toxicity betweenthesalts andthe parent acid orto surfactants usedin the

formulation. There isa verylow potentialfor the compound tobuild upin the tissues of aquaticinvertebrates or other

aquaticorganisms.

Effects on other organisms:Glyphosate is nontoxicto honeybees. Its oral anddermal LD

is greaterthan 0.1 mg/

bee. The reported contact LC

values for earthwormsin soil are greaterthan 5000 ppm for both the glyphosate

trimethylsulfonium salt andformulated product.

Environmental Fate:

Breakdown insoil and groundwater:Glyphosate is moderately persistent insoil, with an estimated average half-life

of 47 days. Reported field half-livesrange from 1 to 174 days.It is strongly adsorbed to most soils, even thosewith

lower organic and clay content.

Breakdown inwater:In water, glyphosate is strongly adsorbed tosuspended organic and mineral matter and is

broken down primarily by microorganisms. Its half-life in pondwater ranges from12 days to10 weeks.

Breakdown invegetation:Glyphosatemay be translocatedthroughout the plant, includingto the roots. It is

extensively metabolized bysome plants,while remaining intact in others.
