dogs and cats.

DIRECTIONS FOR USE:

SHAKE WELL BEFORE USE

Calves, Horses: 30 mL per 25 kg body weight orally daily for 3 to 5 days.

Dogs and Cats: 2 mL per 3 kg body weight orally daily for 3 to 5 days.

Repeat treatment daily until 2 days after symptoms have subsided except in cases of

salmonellosis where treatment should continue for a minimum of 5 consecutive days.

WITHHOLDING PERIOD:

MEAT: DO NOT USE less than 14 days (calves) or 28 days (horses) before slaughter for

human consumption.

HEALTH EFFECTS

Acute

Swallowed:

Ingestion of large quantities may lead to nausea and vomiting.

Sensitisation reactions may occur in susceptible individuals.

Eye:

Severely irritating.

Skin:

Moderate to severe irritant. May cause skin rash and sensitisation

reactions in susceptible individuals.

Inhaled:

Does not present an inhalation problem.

Chronic

Due to the presence of Sulphadizine, Sulphadimidine and Neomycin Sulphate, prolonged or

repeated exposure may lead to sensitisation reactions in susceptible individuals.

First Aid

If Poisoning occurs, contact a doctor or Poisons Information Centre,

phone 13 11 26.

Swallowed:

Rinse mouth with water. Give plenty of water or bland fluids to drink.

Seek medical advice. Show this MSDS to a medical practitioner.

Eye:

Irrigate with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes. Seek medical

attention.

Skin:

Remove all contaminated clothing. Wash well with soap and water.

First Aid Facilities:

Advice to Doctor

Contains sulphur compounds with bacteriostat and antibiotic

properties. Treat symptomatically.

SAFE HANDLING INFORMATION

Storage:

Scour-X is a Scheduled Poison (S4) and therefore must be stored and

maintained in accordance with the relevant State Poisons Act. Store

below 30

C (room temperature). Store tightly closed in original

container. Keep out of reach of children.

Transport:

Scour-X is not classified as a Dangerous Good for the purpose of road

or rail transport.

Spills:

For small spills, wipe area, then wash to drain with detergent and

warm water. For large spills, collect and seal in properly labeled

drums for disposal. Wash area to drain with excess water.

Disposal:

Refer to the relevant State Land Waste Management Authority.

Fire/Explosion Hazard:

Scour-X is non-flammable. In severe fire may give off toxic or irritant

fumes of nitrogen and sulphur.
