Booklet (cont)

GENERAL INFORMATION

Pestmaster

Aqua-Tech

Glyphosate 360 Herbicide is a non-selective herbicide. It is absorbed through the

plants foliar and green stems and is translocated to the plants root system.

The effects of Pestmaster

Aqua-Tech

Glyphosate 360 Herbicide may not be apparent for 4-7 days

depending on weather conditions, weed species and the herbicide usage rate. Some perennial weeds may

not show effects for 10-20 days. The delay in observed effects is primarily due to the time required for the

herbicide to be translocated within the plant from the point of contact (foliage and green stems) to the root

system of the plant.

Pestmaster

Aqua-Tech

Glyphosate 360 Herbicide does not provide any residue herbicide in the soil.

Pestmaster

Aqua-Tech

Glyphosate 360 Herbicide should not be used prior to transplanting tomato

seedlings.

If weeds are treated during poor growing or dormant conditions reduced weed control may result. Reduced

efficacy may also occur when treating weeds heavily covered with dust or silt.

Do not spray weeds with Pestmaster

Aqua-Tech

Glyphosate 360 Herbicide if rain is expected within 6

hours of application.

Do not disturb treated weeds by cultivation, sowing, or grazing for one day after treatment of annual weeds

and 7 days for perennial weeds, to ensure herbicide absorption.

A Withholding period for grazing stock is not required, however, it is recommended that grazing of treated

weeds is delayed (as recommended above) to ensure herbicide absorption.

TANK MIXING

Pestmaster

Aqua-Tech

Glyphosate 360 Herbicide readily mixes with water. Reduced results may occur

if hard water (water containing high levels of calcium), water with soil particles or stagnant water is used.

Do not mix, store or apply this product or spray solutions of this product in galvanised steel or unlined steel

containers or spray tanks, since a highly flammable gas mixture may be formed. Use stainless steel,

aluminium, brass, copper, fibre glass, plastic or plastic-lined containers or spray tanks.

Ensure mixing tank is clean and free of any chemical residues.

Half fill the mixing tank with clean, fresh water and commence agitation.

Add the required amount of crystalline ammonium sulfate if Simazine or Atrazine are to be included in

the tank mixture (see section on ADDING HERBICIDES TO PESTMASTER AQUA-TECH

GLYPHOSATE 360 CT HERBICIDE MIXES). Note: DO NOT add atrazine or ammonium sulfate

when controlling Barnyard grass.

If water soluble products (excluding flowables) are going to be used with Pestmaster

Aqua-Tech

Glyphosate 360 Herbicide, add them to the mixing tank prior to adding the Pestmaster

Aqua-Tech

Glyphosate 360 Herbicide. Flowables should be added to the mixing tank after the Pestmaster

Aqua-

Tech

Glyphosate 360 Herbicide has been added.

Add the required amount of Pestmaster

Aqua-Tech

Glyphosate 360 Herbicide (see section on usage

rates)

Fill the tank to required volume.

Add surfactant/adjuvant, if required, towards the end of the water addition in order to minimize foaming

(see section on ADJUVANT usage rates).

Maintain agitation in the tank during application and use the tank mixture promptly.

APPLICATION METHODS

Pestmaster

Aqua-Tech

Glyphosate 360 Herbicide is a non-selective herbicide. Avoid contact with

foliage, green stems or fruit of crops, desirable plants and trees, since severe injury or destruction may

result.

Boom Equipment

When using Pestmaster

Aqua-Tech

Glyphosate 360 Herbicide at 500ml-1.5L per hectare use spray

volumes in the range of 25-100L water per hectare. For other recommended rates use 75-200L water per

hectare. Fan nozzle equipment is recommended, using operating pressures recommended by the

manufacturer (usually 240-280 kPa). Set boom height to ensure double overlap of spray pattern at the top

of the weed canopy.

High Volume Application (Knapsack/Handgun Equipment)

The dilution rate is given as vol/1 litre ie: volume of Pestmaster

Aqua-Tech

Glyphosate 360 Herbicide

per 1 litre of water. Adjust equipment to achieve an even spray pattern. Ensure complete and uniform

wetting of all foliage. For handgun equipment, a D6 spray tip (Spraying Systems Australia Pty Ltd) or

equivalent, and an operating pressure of 400-700 kPa are recommended.

Low Volume Application (Gas Gun or Splatter Gun)

Apply as an even spray to cover all foliage. Refer to specific weed controlled information for the dilution

and volume to be applied.

Wiper Equipment

This equipment may be used to apply Pestmaster

Aqua-Tech

Glyphosate 360 Herbicide onto weeds

growing in crops, pastures and non-crop areas as specified in the directions for use tables. Avoid contact

with desirable vegetation. Operate Wiper equipment a minimum of 10cm above crop or pasture. Weeds

should be at least 15cm above the crop or pasture at the time of application. Speed of travel should be no

greater than 8km per hour – best results are achieved at lower speeds and where two applications are made

in opposite directions (double pass).

Where weeds are of variable height, or occur in dense infestations or clumps, some plants may not be

contacted by the herbicide solution. In these cases repeat treatment may be necessary.

Mix only enough herbicide solution for immediate requirements. Do not store mixed solution for more

than two days. Flush out wiper equipment with clean water after use.

Rate: Mix 1 Litre of Pestmaster

Aqua-Tech

Glyphosate 360 Herbicide with 2 Litres of water. See Weed

water mixtures.

Caution - CDA equipment produces a fine spray pattern which is not easily visible. Ensure spray pattern or

drift does contact foliage of desirable plants, since sever injury or destruction may result.

Aerial Equipment

Aerial equipment may be used to apply Pestmaster

Aqua-Tech

Glyphosate 360 Herbicide only in pasture

or fallow situations prior to establishment of field crops, fodder crops, or new pasture, and for pre-harvest

application to cotton and sorghum crops. DO NOT use in intensive horticultural cropping areas. Use

recommended rates of Pestmaster

Aqua-Tech

Glyphosate 360 Herbicide specified in this label up to a

maximum limit of 4 Litres per hectare. For Microair and boom equipment, apply in a minimum spray

volume of at least 20 litres per hectare. Droplets with an average size (or VMD) of 250-350 micron

diameter are recommended. Swath width should be 15-17 metres. Thoroughly wash aircraft, especially

landing gear each day of spraying to remove herbicide residues.

Hilly Terrain: As spraying height may vary, to maximise target contact, increase water volume to 30-80L/ha

and increase droplet size to at least 800 microns VMD.

Summer conditions: High temperatures and/or low relative humidity cause excessive evaporation of spray

droplets, which may reduce results. When temperature reaches 25

C, increase water volume to at least 30L/ha,

DO NOT apply Pestmaster® Aqua-Tech® Glyphosate 360 Herbicide by aircraft when temperature

is above 30

Avoid drift. See "Protection of Crops (etc)". Note also that equipment settings which produce fine droplets (150

microns or less), winds over 8 km/hr, inversion conditions, still air and hot days all contribute to drift.

GENERAL WEED CONTROL

SITUATION

CRITICAL COMMENTS

For general weed control in Domestic

areas (Home Garden), Commercial,

Industrial and Public Service areas,

Agricultural buildings and other farm

situations.

For specific weeds, brush and woody

weeds or unwanted trees, refer to the

appropriate weeds control table.

For the control of many grasses and broadleaf weeds.

Rate: 10ml per Litre of water.

Apply when weeds are actively growing.

Apply to ensure complete and unknown wetting of foliage.

Visible symptoms may take from 3 to 7 days to develop.

NON-AGRICULTURAL AREAS

Around buildings, Commercial and

Industrial areas, Domestic and Public

Service areas, Right-of-ways.

Pestmaster

Aqua-Tech

Glyphosate 360 Herbicide does not provide

residual weed control. For residual control of annual weeds, Pestmaster

Aqua-Tech

Glyphosate 360 Herbicide may be tank mixed with certain

residual herbicides, see

ADDING HERBICIDES TO PESTMASTER

®

AQUA-TECH

®

GLYPHOSATE 360 HERBICIDE MIXES.

AGRICULTURAL AREAS

Pestmaster

Aqua-Tech

Glyphosate 360 Herbicide may be used for the

control of annual and perennial weeds as directed, but not prior to

transplanting tomato seedlings.

AQUATIC AREAS

For the control of emerged weeds in all

bodies of fresh and brackish water

which may be flowing, non-flowing or

transient. Also for weeds on margins

of streams, lakes and dams and in

channels and drains.

Reduction in effectiveness may result if more than ¼ of the above ground

of the weed is submerged at treatment. Submerging the treated plant

following treatment may result in the spray being washed from the plant

surface, thus reducing the effectiveness.

Do not apply this product within 0.5 km upstream of potable water intake

in flowing water (in river and streams etc) or within 0.5 km of a potable

water intake in a standing body of water such as a lake, pond or reservoir.

Application to moving bodies of water should be made while travelling

upstream wherever possible to prevent concentration of this herbicide in

water. When making any bankside applications, do not overspray more

than 0.5m into open water. Avoid spraying across moving bodies of

water, or where weeds do not exist.

Do not use additional surfactant/wetter, unless it is approved for use in

aquatic situations.

When spraying floating weeds, use a low volume, low pressure boom

spray, CDA, or sprinkler sprayer. Do not submerge the weeds when

spraying as this may wash the herbicide off the leaves. When emerged

infestations require treatment of the total surface area of impounded

water, treating the area in strips may avoid sudden impact on habitat.

FORESTS

Pestmaster

Aqua-Tech

Glyphosate 360 Herbicide may be used prior to

establishment of nurseries, for site preparation prior to planting and

amongst established trees using a directed or shielded spray, or using

selective wiper equipment. Avoid spray or spray drift to contact foliage or

green bark of desirable trees, since server injury may result. Avoid wiper

surface contacting any part of the tree.

: Pestmaster

Aqua-Tech

Glyphosate 360 Herbicide is a non-selective herbicide and may damage

or kill any plant in the sprayed areas. Re-treatment and/or pasture

improvement may be necessary to restrict seedling re-establishment.

SELECTIVE APPLICATION

: see

WIPER EQUIPMENT

BOOM APPLICATION:

Pestmaster

Aqua-Tech

Glyphosate 360

Herbicide may be used to suppress or kill existing pasture species prior to

re-seeding or establishment of other crops. Where spot application (spray

or wiper) is undertaken, grazing stock need not be removed.

CAUTION

: Certain plants may be naturally toxic to stock. Where

known toxic plants are present do not allow stock to graze until complete

browning of treated plants has occurred.

COTTON PRE-HARVEST

For control of Bathurst Burr, Nogoora

burr, Winter annual weeds including

Sowthistle (Milk Thistle) and seasonal

suppression of Nutgrass.

NSW and QLD only.

DO NOT APPLY TO CROPS INTENDED FOR SEED PRODUCTION.

Apply when at least 60% of bolts are open and immature bolls cannot be

easily cut with a sharp knife. Where a leafy crop canopy limits spray

coverage, reduced weed control can be expected. For best results under

these conditions, delay applications until canopy re-opens following

initial conditioning treatment. Where control of Nutgrass or Nogoora

burr is required, treatment should be applied prior to the onset of frosts.

When tank mixed with defoliants, a slightly higher proportion of cotton

leaf may be retained particularly where the higher rate is used. Read and

follow all label directions for the tank mix products.

RATE: Apply 2.5L/Ha for nutgrass control and 1.25-2.5L/Ha for the

other weeds. Use the lower rate on light infestations of small weeds,

when the crop canopy allows adequate spray coverage of the weeds.

Increase to the higher rate when the crop canopy may limit spray

coverage, when treating dense infestations, or when treating larger weeds.

ONIONS

Post-plant, pre-emergence application.

Tas only

For control of annual weeds and suppression of perennial weeds,

including Rope Twitch. Apply Pestmaster

Aqua-Tech
