GENERALINSTRUCTIONS:

Nufarm Nu-tron 900DF is a pre-emergent herbicide

which provides residual control of certain weeds and

grasses in cotton.

Nufarm Nu-tron 900DF should be applied to bare soil

before weeds emerge. Irrigation should precede or

immediately follow spraying. Nufarm Nu-tron 900DF

should be applied in a minimum of 100-250 litres of

water per hectare.

DO NOTenter treated areas until spray has dried

unless wearing protective clothing.

MIXING:

This product mixes readily with water, no pre-mixing

is required. During mixing, the spray vat should be no

more than 25% full of water. Vigorous agitation of vat

contents is required during the addition of this

product. Pour product steadily when adding the

required quantity to the spray vat. DO NOTDUMPall

required product into vat at once. When the product

has been thoroughly dispersed, fill spray vat with

water to the desired level for spraying. Continuous

and preferable mechanical agitation is essential

during the addition of the product and during the

spraying operation. Re-circulate if left to stand.

RESISTANT WEEDS WARNING:

Nufarm Nu-tron 900DF Herbicide (“Nu-tron”) is a

member of the Ureas group of herbicides. Nu-tron

has the inhibitors of photosynthesis at photosystem II

mode of action. For weed resistance management

Nu-tron is a Group C herbicide.

Some naturally-occurring weed biotypes resistant to

Nu-tron and other inhibitors of photosynthesis at

photosystem II herbicides may exist through normal

genetic variability in any weed population. The

resistant individuals can eventually dominate the

weed population if these herbicides are used

repeatedly. These resistant weeds will not be

controlled by Nu-tron or other inhibitors of

photosynthesis at photosystem II herbicides.

Since the occurrence of resistant weeds is difficult to

detect prior to use, Nufarm Limited accepts no liability

for any losses that may result from the failure of

Nu-tron to control resistant weeds.

PROTECTION OF CROPS, NATIVEAND OTHER

NON-TARGET PLANTS:

DO NOTapply under weather conditions, or from

spraying equipment, that may cause spray to drift

onto nearby susceptible plants (crops, cropping lands

or pastures. DO NOTapply, or drain, or flush

equipment on or near desirable trees, or other plants,

or on areas where their roots may extend, or in

locations where the chemical may be washed or

PROTECTION OF WILDLIFE, FISH, CRUSTACEA

AND ENVIRONMENT:

Dangerous to fish. DO NOTcontaminate streams,

rivers or waterways with this product or used

containers.

STORAGEAND DISPOSAL:

KEEPOUT OF REACH OF CHILDREN

Store in the closed, original container in a dry, cool,

well ventilated area out of direct sunlight. Shake

empty into spray tank. Single rinse before disposal.

Add rinsings to spray tank. Do not dispose of

undiluted chemicals on site. Puncture and bury empty

containers in a local authority landfill. If no landfill is

available, bury the containers below 500mm in a

disposal pit specifically marked and set up for this

purpose clear of waterways, desirable vegetation and

tree roots. Empty containers and products should not

be burnt.

SAFETYDIRECTIONS

May irritate the eyes and skin.Avoid contact with the

eyes and skin. Do not inhale dust or spray mist. If

product gets on skin, immediately wash area with

soap and water. After use and before eating, drinking

or smoking, wash hands, arms, and face thoroughly

with soap and water.

Critical Comments

A. SOILINCORPORATED, PRE-PLANTING

TREATMENT

1. PRE-IRRIGATE

2. SPRAYNufarm Nu-tron 900DF as an overall

treatment.Apply just prior to incorporation. (Use rates

toward the higher end of the range for heavier, high

organic soils, and rates toward the lower end of the

range for lighter, low organic content soils).

3. INCORPORATION OF NUFARM NU-TRON

900DF. Lillistone cultivators are ideal for incorporation

and should be utilised wherever available.

Regardless of machinery used, it is essential that

incorporation depth be closely governed and not

allowed to exceed the depth of seed placement

(approximately 5cm).

4.ATSEEDING. Scrape off the top of the hill at

planting time.Apply a band of Nufarm Nu-tron 900DF

immediately after planting to replace the Fluometuron

which has been scraped off into the furrow using a

rate of 945g to 2kg per sprayed hectare. (Low rate for

lighter soils, the higher rate for heavier soils).

B. PRE-EMERGENCE, POST SOWING

TREATMENT

Apply Nufarm Nu-tron 900DF after sowing as an

overall or band treatment. (Use rates toward the

higher end of the range for heavier, high organic

soils, and rates toward the lower end of the range for

lighter, low organic content soils). If band treatments

are used, band width should be a minimum of 40cm.

Adjustment in application rate is necessary for

varying band widths.

WARNING: Severe plant injury may result if heavy

rain occurs between sowing and emergence.

C. POSTEMERGENCE

Nufarm Nu-tron 900DF can be applied as a post-

emergent application to control broadleaf weeds

which escaped the pre-emergent application or to

control broadleaf weeds in situations where pre-

emergent applications have not been previously

made. (Use rates toward the higher end of the range

for heavier, high organic soils, and rates toward the

lower end of the range for lighter, low organic content

soils).

EARLYSPRAYING

Apply Nufarm Nu-tron 900DF as a directed spray,

mixed in 220 to 440 litres of water per hectare, when

the cotton is 15cm high. The weeds should not be

more than 8cm high and actively growing.Add

NUFARM SURFACTANT600

LAY-BYSPRAYING

Apply Nufarm Nu-tron 900DF as a directed spray,

mixed in 220 to 440 litres of water per hectare, after

the last cultivation. The weeds should not be more

than 8cm high and actively growing.Add
