CLINICAL PARTICULARS 4.1 TARGET SPECIES Swine, chickens and turkeys 4.2 INDICATIONS FOR USE, SPECIFYING THE TARGET SPECIES Swine: For the treatment and control of diseases caused in fattening pigs by organisms sensitive to trimethoprim/sulfadiazine. Chickens: For the treatment of diseases caused in chickens by organisms sensitive to trimethoprim/sulfadiazine. Turkeys: For the treatment and control of diseases caused in turkeys by _E. coli_ sensitive to trimethoprim/sulfadiazine. 4.3 CONTRA-INDICATIONS None 4.4 SPECIAL WARNINGS FOR EACH TARGET SPECIES None Revised: September 2016 AN: 00629/2016 Page 2 of 5 4.5 SPECIAL PRECAUTIONS FOR USE i. Special precautions for use in animals None known ii. Special precautions to be taken by the person administering the medicinal product to animals When handling the product, inhalation of the dust must be avoided by wearing a disposable half-mask respirator conforming to European Standard EN 149 or a non-disposable respirator to European Standard EN 140 with a filter to EN 143. Contaminated clothing should be removed and any splashes to the skin should be washed off immediately. Sulphonamides may cause hypersensitivity (allergy) following injection, inhalation, ingestion or skin contact. Hypersensitivity to sulphonamides may lead to cross reactions with other antibiotics. Allergic reactions to these substances may occasionally be serious. 1. Do not handle this product if you know you are sensitive to sulphonamides. 2.
