Intended purpose

Some research suggests the magnetic field penetrates into the body, affecting the peripheral circulation.

Static magnets potentially provide comfort and localised temporary relief from minor aches and pains.

For centuries, acupuncturists have used fine needles on particular points to clear energy blockages and

encourage the normal flow of qi through the individual. Japanese acupuncturists, in particular, use

magnets as a natural, non-invasive alternative to needles to gently stimulate certain acupoints

(acupuncture points) on the body, ears, hands and feet. The latter three are considered Microsystems of

the body. Some studies suggest that when you use particular points on the body, hand and ear together,

you may achieve more beneficial results than when used singly.

The greater 'throw' of the magnetic field means that magnets don't necessarily require as accurate a

placement to have some benefit. Apart from being placed on or around the painful area, they may be

useful on particular acupoints to assist with everyday ailments like:

Arthritis, Back pain, Sore joints, Bruising, Burns (minor), Carpal Tunnel, Common cold, Constipation,

Cough, Cramps, Dermatitis, Ears, Energy ± low, Frozen shoulder, Gas, Headaches, Indigestion, Insomnia,

Knee pain, Ligament injuries, Muscle aches & sprains, Nausea, Neck pain, Nose ± runny, Period pain,

PMS, Rash, RSI, Runny nose, Sciatica, Shoulder pain, Sports-related injuries, Spurs, Stomach -

ache/upset, Tennis Elbow, Throat ± sore, etc.)

Aside from temporary relief from a wide range of ailments, acupuncture/pressure has the potential to assist

with the maintenance of general wellbeing. Many in the West have come to look upon it as an effective,

natural and increasingly popular form of healthcare that takes a holistic approach to understanding normal

function and disease processes and focuses on the prevention of illness as well as the treatment.

A causal relationship between the dizziness and fatigue syndrome, Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome (POTS) and Gardasil can neither be confirmed nor denied. The EU's group of pharmacovigilance experts have made a new assessment of the vaccine and still consider it to be safe.
