A spinal device used in the treatment of anatomical abnormalities of vertebrae typically due to degenerative intervertebral discs. The device is implanted between the bones or bone grafts of the spine providing mechanical stability and immobilization between adjacent spinal segments. Sufficient space is provided for therapeutic spinal bone fusion to occur. This device may be made of metal, polymer or other artificial materials and may be of several different geometric forms.
