Therapeutic indications:

A device designed to position and fully or partially immobilize certain parts of the patient, e.g. the head, during certain surgical interventions, or transportation. The immobilization of a body part is achieved by this device being preformed around the body part and a vacuum being exerted on the inside. It is typically an airtight soft pillow case kind of covering made of flexible materials, e.g. plastic or rubber. When sealed, this device retains the shape imposed upon it until the vacuum is released.
