Magill Forceps are angled forceps used to guide a tracheal tube into the larynx or a nasogastric tube into the oesophagus under direct vision. It is also used to place pharyngeal packs and remove foreign bodies. Its a surgical instrument designed with two blades, which are closed upon the object to be held. The handles maybe permanently joined together (pivoted as a pinsett, tweezers or scissors) or conjoined, usually by pressure, during use, e.g. some kinds of obstetrical forceps.
