PHARMACEUTICAL FORM: Concentrate for Dip Solution

PHARMACOLOGICAL PROPERTIES:
The product is an iodine based teat dip concentrate belonging to the
Iodophor group of
disinfectants, which acts by killing bacteria. Additionally contains
added emollients and
humectants, which improve skin condition.

CLINICAL PARTICULARS:
5.1 Target Species: Milking Cattle.
5.2 Indications for Use: Teat dipping formulation (dilute 1 part with
3 parts clean water) for
administration to cow teats and udders as an aid in the control of
bovine mastitis.

5.6 Use During Pregnancy And Lactation: Licensed to be used during
these periods.
5.7 Interaction With Other Medicaments And Other Forms Of Interaction:

5.8 Posology And Method Of Administration:
Teat Dipping – Prepare a solution of 1 part product with 3 parts
clean water. Fill teat-dipping cup
approximately

full with this solution and dip the teats immediately after each cow
is milked,
ensuring the full length of the teat is covered. Top up the cup with
fresh solution if necessary.
Discard soiled solution. Prepare a fresh teat dip solution daily.
Udder Washing And Cluster Dipping – Prepare a fresh solution daily
of 1 part product to 325 parts
water. Udder cloths should be allowed to soak in the solution. The use
of separate udder cloths for
each cow, or disposable paper towels is strongly recommended. Teat
clusters should be immersed
and agitated for 10 seconds before milking each cow. Prepare a fresh
