SECTION 4: FIRST AID MEASURES
FIRST AID MEASURES:
Consult the National Poisons Centre on 131126 or a doctor immediately
in every case of
suspected chemical poisoning. Never give fluids or induce vomiting if
a patient is unconscious
or convulsing regardless of cause of injury. If medical
advice/attention is needed, have product
container or label at hand.
INHALATION:
If respiratory symptoms occur, remove patient to fresh air. Lay
patient down and keep warm
and rested. If breathing is shallow or has stopped, ensure airway is
clear and apply

TECHNICAL NOTES
ACTIVE CONSTITUENTS
Chloramphenicol 10 mg/g
Hydrocortisone 5 mg/g
ACTIONS
Chloramphenicol is an antibiotic effective against the majority of
commonly encountered ocular pathogens.
Hydrocortisone relieves irritation and inflammation often associated
with ocular infections.
The above actives are formulated in a polybase that ensures fluidity
over a wide temperature range for ease of application. It disperses
well, is non-irritating and provides good contact of active
ingredients with the cornea.
INDICATIONS
For topical treatment of ocular infections in dogs and cats.
DIRECTIONS FOR USE
Apply once or twice daily as required.
RESTRAINTS
NOT TO BE USED in food producing species of animals, including horses
intended for food production.
WARNING
Chlorasone® contains a corticosteroid, so should not be used where
corneal ulceration exists.
