QUALITATIVE AND QUANTITATIVE COMPOSITION: ACTIVE SUBSTANCE(S) % w/v Pyrethrum Extract 25% 1.28 (equivalent to Pyrethrins 0.32) Piperonyl Butoxide (100%) 1.57 (added as Piperonyl Butoxide) For a full list of excipients, see section 6.1 3. PHARMACEUTICAL FORM: _ _ _Cutaneous Spray Solution._ _Clear, yellow solution of characteristic odour._ 4. CLINICAL PARTICULARS: 4.1 TARGET SPECIES Dog 4.2 INDICATIONS FOR USE, SPECIFYING THE TARGET SPECIES: For the control of fleas on dogs and puppies over 12 weeks of age. 4.3 CONTRA-INDICATIONS: (i) Not for use in cases of known hypersensitivity. (ii) Do not use on puppies under 12 weeks of age. (iii) Do not use on nursing females. 4.4 SPECIAL WARNINGS FOR EACH TARGET SPECIES For external use only. Revised: 13 November 2008 AN: 01076/2008 4.5 SPECIAL PRECAUTIONS I) SPECIAL PRECAUTIONS FOR USE IN ANIMALS Keep treated animals away from fire and other sources of heat for at least 30 minutes following spraying and until fur is totally dry. II) SPECIAL PRECAUTIONS TO BE TAKEN BY THE PERSON ADMINISTERING THE MEDICINAL PRODUCTS TO ANIMALS Flammable. Do not spray on a naked flame or on any incandescent material. Do not smoke when using the product. Do not breathe spray mist and use in a well ventilated area. Avoid contact with eyes. If case of accidental eye contact occurs, rinse with clean, fresh water. If eye irritation persists, seek medical advice. Persons who are hypersensitive (allergic) to pyrethrum extract should handle the product with care. Treated animals should not be allowed to sleep or play with people, particularly children, until the animal is dry. Keep away from food and drink, including animal feeding stuffs. Wash hands and exposed skin after use. 4.6 ADVERSE REACTIONS (FREQUENCY AND SERIOUSNESS) Rarely, dogs treated with the product may show a hypersensitivity reaction. 4.7 USE DUR Read the complete document
