GENERAL

INSTRUCTIONS

Bayfidan 250 EC is a broad spectrum, systemic, foliar fungicide that

quickly taken up by plants and translocated

within the plant.

Because

its systemic activity, Bayfidan is less affected by rainfall

irrigation than contact type

fungicides .

Fungicide

Resistance

Warning

GROUP

FUNGICIDE

Bayfidan is a member

the DMI group

fungicides. For fungicide resistance management the product is a Group 3

fungicide. Some naturally occurring individual fungi resistant to the product and other Group 3 fungicides may exist

through normal genetic variability in any fungal population. The resistant individuals can eventually dominate the fungal

population if these fungicides are used repeatedly. These resistant fungi will not

controlled by this product and other

Group 3 fungicides, thus resulting

a reduction in efficacy and possible yield loss.

Since the occurrence

resistant

fungi is difficult to detect prior to use, Bayer CropScience

Ltd accepts no liability for any losses that result from

failure

this product to control resistant fungi.

Export

Growers should note that MRLs or import tolerances do not exist

all markets for edible produce treated with Bayfidan.

If you are growing edible produce for export, please check with Bayer CropScience Ply. Ltd. for the latest information on

Mixing

Half fill the spray tank or vat with clean water. Then add the required amount

Bayfidan with agitator going and top up

the tank with water.

Agitate thoroughly prior to and during spraying.

Application

Dilute Spraying (grapevines, papaws)

Use a sprayer designed to apply high volumes

water up

the point

run-off and matched to the crop being

sprayed.

Set up and operate the sprayer

achieve even coverage throughout the crop canopy. Apply sufficient water to

cover the crop to the point

-off.

Avoid excessive run-off.

The required water volume may

determined by applying different test volumes, using different settings on the

sprayer, from industry guidelines or expert advice.

Add the amount

product specified in the Directions for Use table for each 100 L

water.

Spray to the point

run-off.

The required dilute spray volume will change and the sprayer set up and operation may also need to be changed,

as the crop grows.

Concentrate Spraying (grapevines, papaws)

Use a sprayer designed and set up for concentrate spraying (that is a sprayer which applies water volumes less

than those required to reach the point

run-off) and matched to the crop being sprayed.

Set up and operate the sprayer

achieve even coverage throughout the crop canopy using your chosen water

volume.

Determine an appropriate dilute spray volume (See Dilute Spraying above)

the crop canopy.

This is needed to

calculate the concentrate mixing rate.

The mixing rate for concentrate spraying can then

calculated

the following way:

EXAMPLE ONLY

Dilute spray volume as determined above: For example 1500

Your chosen concentrate spray volume: For example 500

The concentration factor

this example

3 X (ie 1500 L

500 L

As the dilute label rate

10 mL/1 00 L for grapevines; then the concentrate rate becomes 3 x 10, that is 30

mL/1 00 L

concentrate spray.

The chosen spray volume, amount

product per 100 L

water, and the sprayer set up and operation may need

to be changed as the crop grows.

For grapevines

use a concentrate rate higher than that specified

the Critical Comments because a rate

higher than that has not been tested

Bayer CropScience trials.

For further information

concentrate spraying, users are advised to consult relevant industry guidelines,

undertake appropriate competency training and follow industry Best Practices.

Compatibility

Bayfidan 250 EC is compatible with Agridex

Magnesium citrate malate as a source of magnesium added for nutritional purposes to food supplements

Published on: Thu, 06 Dec 2018 The present scientific opinion deals with the assessment of the bioavailability of magnesium, from the proposed nutrient source, magnesium citrate malate (MgCM), when added for nutritional purposes to food supplements. MgCM is a mixed salt consisting of magnesium cations and citrate and malate anions, and with a magnesium content of 12–15%. MgCM is proposed to be used in food supplements that are intended to provide up to 300–540 mg/day magnesium. The data provided demonst...
