COMPOSITION:
Each tablet contains 300 mg 
Aspirin 
PHARMACOLOGICAL CLASSIFICATION:
A 2.8 Non-narcotic analgesics, antipyretics.
PHARMACOLOGICAL ACTION:
Aspirin has analgesic, anti-pyretic and anti-inflammatory actions. Aspirin inhibits platelet aggregation by inactivation of
platelet cyclo-oxygenase, the enzyme that produces the cyclic endoperoxide precursor of thromboxane A2.
INDICATIONS:
a) Aspirin is indicated for relief of mild to moderate pain such as headache, dysmenorrhoea, myalgia, arthralgia and
neuralgia and/or fever.
 
WARNINGS:
 
If symptoms persist, consult your doctor. Do not use continuously for more than 10 days without consulting a doctor.
Aspirin has been implicated in Reye's syndrome a rare but serious illness in children and teenagers with chickenpox
and influenza. A doctor should be consulted before aspirin is used in such cases.
 
DOSAGE AND DIRECTIONS FOR USE:
 
300 - 900 mg (1 to 3 tablets) every 4 to 8 hours, up to a maximum of 12 tablets daily (per 24 hours).
b) Aspirin is also used to reduce the risk of myocardial infarction in patients who have had a previous myocardial
infarction. It is also used to reduce the risk of recurrent transient ischaemic attacks or stroke in persons who have had
transient ischaemia of the brain due to fibrin platelet emboli and to reduce the risk of graft occlusion following aorta
coronary by-pass surgery.
 
WARNINGS:
 
The optimal dose for inhibition of platelet aggregation in humans is not known. Do not use aspirin for indications
related to inhibition of platelet aggregation unless directed by a doctor.
