HEALTH HAZARD INFORMATION

HEALTH EFFECTS – ACUTE

Swallowed: May cause severe digestive tract irritation with

abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting and diarrhoea.

May cause haemorrhaging of the digestive tract.

Eye: May cause eye irritation. Exposure to particulates

or solution may cause conjunctivitis, ulceration, and

corneal abnormalities.

Skin: May cause skin irritation.

Inhaled: May cause respiratory tract irritation. May cause

ulceration and perforation of the nasal septumif

inhaled in excessive quantities.

HEALTH EFFECTS – CHRONIC

Prolonged orrepeated skin contact may cause dermatitis. Prolongedor repeated eye

contact may cause conjunctivitis. Maycause liver and kidney damage. This

substance has caused adverse reproductive andfoetal effects in animals. Target

organs: kidneys, liver.

FIRST AID

Swallowed: Induce vomiting. If victim isconscious and alert, give

2 – 4 cupfuls of milk orwater. Seekmedical attention

immediately.

Eye: Flush eyes with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes,

occasionallylifting the upper and lower lids. Seek

medical attention immediately.

Skin: Seek medical attention. Immediately flush skin with

plenty of soap and water for at least 15 minutes while

removing contaminated clothing and shoes.

Inhaled: Remove fromexposure to fresh air immediately. If not

breathing, give artificialrespiration. If breathing is
