ISOMATE™ LBAM PLUS - Critical comments continued

Additional measures may include elimination of alternative host plants within the vineyard or

orchard which support populations of Lightbrown Apple Moth during winter and/or utilisation

of biological agents or insecticides in spring and summer. If uncertain, seek advice from

Bioglobal Ltd or a competent pest control adviser. ISOMATE LBAM PLUS prevents Lightbrown

Apple Moth from mating. However, if a major source of mated female moths of this species

is present adjacent to the orchard or vineyard, migration of these moths may significantly

reduce the level of control achieved. This can be overcome by:

a. Treatment of entire, and not just sections, of large conventionally treated orchards or

vineyards which frequently serve as sources of mated females.

b. Treatment of Infestation sources with ISOMATE LBAM PLUS (e.g. a strip at least 50 metres

wide near the nearest treated orchard or vineyard).

c. Treatment of weeds that serve as alternative hosts for Lightbrown Apple Moth with an

effective herbicide or by mowing or close grazing in winter.

Other pests must be monitored so that timely intervention with conventional insecticides is

possible. ISOMATE LBAM PLUS is not harmful to bees or other beneficial insects and does not

induce secondary pest populations.
