HEALTH HAZARD INFORMATION
Swallowed: This product is of low oral toxicity.
Eye: The solid product may cause eye irritation.
Skin: The product is of low dermal toxicity. Will not usually
irritate, although prolonged exposure may result in
some irritation to the skin.
Inhaled: The product is of low acute toxicity. Will not usually
irritate although prolonged exposure may cause some
irritation of the mucous membranes.
Regular, long termexposure to sulphur can result in chronic bronchitis.
Swallowed: If swallowed and if morethan 15 minutes froma
hospital, induce vomiting, preferably using Ipecac
Syrup APF. Seek medical advice.
Eye: Irrigate withcopious quantity ofwater for 15 minutes
with eyelids held open. Seek medical assistance if
Skin: Wash affected areas with copious quantities of water

Toxicity Data: Sulphur
Toxicity to Mammals: Practically non-toxic to humans and animals. When
taken orally, it has a mild laxative action. Can be
irritating to skin, eyes and mucous membranes.
Exposure Standards: No exposure standardis set for this product.
TWA for dusts is recommended, i.e. 10mg/m3
Engineering Controls: Natural ventilation only required. If the bag is broken,
avoid exposure to dust. Wear dust mask if generation
of dust cannot be avoided.

Personal Protection: Avoid contact with eyes,skin and avoid breathing the
vapour or dust. Wear appropriate protective clothing.
Flammability: The product was tested in accordance to “Australian
Code for the Transport of Dangerous Goods by Road
and Rail” section 220.127.116.11.2. “Test methods for
flammable solids (Class 4.1)”.

conditions of the tests

In the environment, slight oxidation to the volatile
oxides may occur at over extended periods.

Storage and Transport:
Storage: Store in original container, in a dry well ventilated area,
away from direct sunlight. Keep out of reach of

Spills and Disposal: Sweep or vacuumspillages and store in open topped
drums for disposal. Dispose of material either by
approved use or in a landfill site approved by the
relevant authorities. Dispose of container in a
Fire/Explosion Hazard: Product is a solid that can burn under certain conditions.
While it does not meet the requirements to be classified
as a flammable solid (Class 4.1, if involved in a fire, the
material will melt and burn, giving off corrosive fumes
of sulphur dioxide. If the product is involved in a fire,
wear breathing apparatus, fight firefromupwind, wear
eye and skin protection. Extinguish using water, foam,
