DIRECTIONS FOR USE

DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION:

Prevention of Milk Fever- 10mL by

intramuscular injection between 8 and

2 days before calving. A second

injection of 10mL may be administered

8 days after the first injection.

WITHHOLDING PERIODS: MEAT:

NIL, MILK: NIL

Store below 25°C (air conditioning).

Protect from light.

For the prevention of Milk Fever in cows

ACTIONS

Cholecalciferol also known as vitamin D

is involved in the regulation of calcium (Ca)

metabolism. Vitamin D

stimulates calcium absorption and mobilisation of calcium

from bone to help prevent milk fever in cows.

DIRECTIONS FOR USE

RESTRAINTS

DO NOT administer in cases of hyperparathyroidism

DO NOT concurrently administer other Vitamin D

3

preparations

DO NOT administer more than 10mL per treatment

DO NOT exceed dose in Jersey cows

Dosage and Administration

Prevention of Milk Fever- 10mL by intramuscular injection between 8 and 2 days

before calving. If calving is delayed, a second injection of 10mL may be administered

8 days after the first injection.

General Directions

Blood magnesium levels may be reduced, supplement magnesium during the last

stages of pregnancy.

Large doses may cause calcification of blood vessels or calcium deposits in the

kidney.

Dispose of empty container by wrapping with paper and putting in garbage.

Store below 25°C (air conditioning). Protect from light.

CAUTION: AVOID CARCASS DAMAGE

Sterilise all injection apparatus by boiling before use. Avoid use of strong

disinfectants on apparatus.

Maintain cleanliness at all times.

Keep needles sharp and clean. Replace frequently.

Use needles of appropriate gauge and length.

As far as is possible avoid injection of animals during wet weather or under dusty

conditions.

This product must be injected only into muscle tissue.

If possible inject into muscle tissue on side of neck.
