WHAT CYNOMEL 0.025MG TABLETS ARE AND WHAT THEY ARE USED FOR
Pharmacotherapeutic class: Thyroid hormones, ATC code: H03AA02
(H: Systemic hormones: except for sexual hormones and insulins)
This medication is used to treat hypothyroidism (insufficient
secretion from the thyroid gland) and
certain goiters and nodules.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW BEFORE YOU TAKE CYNOMEL 0.025MG TABLETS
If your doctor has informed you of any intolerance to certain sugars,
contact them before taking this
medication.
NEVER TAKE CYNOMEL 0.025MG, SCORED TABLETS:
•
If you are allergic to the active ingredient (liothyronine) or one of
the other ingredients
contained in this medication mentioned in section 6.
•
If you are allergic to wheat, due to the presence of wheat starch.
•
If you suffer from hyperthyroidism (excessive secretion of thyroid
hormones).
