ANWENDUNGSGEBIET(E)

Aktive Immunisierung von Junghennen:

um die Ausbreitung von Salmonella Enteritidis in den Ovarien zu vermindern, wie 4 Tage

nach Belastungsinfektion gezeigt wurde;

Dies wurde 25 Wochen nach der Impfung geprüft und bis zum Alter von 58 Wochen

nachgewiesen.

um die Ausbreitung von Salmonella Typhimurium und Salmonella Enteritidis im

Verdauungstrakt zu vermindern.

Dies wurde 4 Wochen nach der Impfung geprüft und für Salmonella Typhimurium bis zum

Alter von 61 Wochen bzw. für Salmonella Enteritidis bis zum Alter von 52 Wochen

nachgewiesen.

GEGENANZEIGEN

Nicht anwenden innerhalb von 2 Wochen vor Legebeginn oder während der Legeperiode.

6.

NEBENWIRKUNGEN

Nach der Injektion einer Dosis des Impfstoffes wurden keine tastbaren Reaktionen

beobachtet.

An der Injektionsstelle wurden drei Wochen nach der Injektion kleine Läsionen festgestellt,

die auf das Öladjuvans zurückzuführen sind, d. h. auf kleine Mengen von Rückständen des

öligen Adjuvans. Diese können während der Legeperiode bestehen bleiben und bilden sich

mit der Zeit zurück.

Es kann zu einem leicht verzögerten Einsetzen des Legebeginns kommen; dies hat jedoch

keinen Einfluss auf die maximale Legeleistung oder auf die Gesamtlegerate. Falls Sie

Nebenwirkungen (insbesondere solche, die nicht in der Packungsbeilage aufgeführt sind) bei

Ihrem Tier/Ihren Tieren feststellen, teilen Sie diese Ihrem Tierarzt mit.

ZIELTIERART(EN)

Hühner (Junghennen).

8.

DOSIERUNG FÜR JEDE TIERART, ART UND DAUER DER ANWENDUNG

Eine Impfdosis (0,3 ml) ist intramuskulär entsprechend dem folgenden Impfplan zu injizieren:

erste Injektion: ab dem Alter von 6 Wochen;

zweite Injektion: im Alter von 16 Wochen.

Der Abstand zwischen den beiden Impfungen sollte mindestens 4 Wochen und höchstens 10

Wochen betragen.

Vor Gebrauch gut schütteln.

Übliche aseptische Vorsichtsmaßnahmen beachten.

Keine Spritzen mit Naturgummi oder Butylelastomer-Kolben verwenden.

Nur steriles Impfbesteck verwenden.

HINWEISE FÜR DIE RICHTIGE ANWENDUNG

Nur gesunde Tiere impfen.

Nicht mit anderen Tierarzneimitteln mischen.

Weiße Emulsion; die Emulsion muss nach dem Schütteln homogen sein.

BESONDERE LAGERUNGSHINWEISE

Arzneimittel außer Reich- und Sichtweite von Kindern aufbewahren.

Bei +2

C bis +8

C (im Kühlschrank) lagern und transportieren. Vor Licht schützen. Nicht

einfrieren. Das Behältnis im Umkarton aufbewahren.

Nach dem Öffnen sofort anwenden.

Den Impfstoff nach Ablauf des auf dem Behältnis angegebenen Verfalldatums nicht mehr

anwenden.

12.

BESONDERE WARNHINWEISE

Die Impfung ruft bei Hühnern eine serologische Reaktion hervor, die ein

Überwachungsprogramm, das ausschließlich auf serologischen Untersuchungen ohne

bakteriologische Bestätigung beruht, stören kann.

Für den Anwender:

Dieses Tierarzneimittel enthält Mineralöl. Eine versehentliche (Selbst)Injektion kann zu

starken Schmerzen und Schwellungen führen, insbesondere bei einer Injektion in ein

Gelenk oder einen Finger. In seltenen Fällen kann dies bis zum Verlust des betroffenen

Fingers führen, wenn er nicht umgehend ärztlich versorgt wird.

Im Falle einer versehentlichen (Selbst)Injektion ziehen Sie sofort einen Arzt zu Rate,

selbst wenn nur geringe Mengen injiziert wurden, und zeigen Sie dem Arzt die

Packungsbeilage.

Sollten die Schmerzen länger als 12 Stunden nach der ärztlichen Untersuchung

andauern, ziehen Sie erneut einen Arzt zu Rate.

Für den Arzt:

Dieses Tierarzneimittel enthält Mineralöl. Eine versehentliche (Selbst)Injektion selbst

geringer Mengen dieses Impfstoffes kann starke Schwellungen verursachen, die unter

Umständen zu ischämischen Nekrosen oder sogar dem Verlust eines Fingers führen

können. Die Wunde soll UNVERZÜGLICH sachkundig chirurgisch versorgt werden.

Dies kann eine frühzeitige Inzision und Spülung der Injektionsstelle erfordern,

insbesondere wenn weiches Fingergewebe oder Sehnen betroffen sind.

Nicht anwenden innerhalb von 2 Wochen vor Legebeginn und während der

Legeperiode.

Die vorgelegten Daten zur Unschädlichkeit und Wirksamkeit belegen, dass der

Impfstoff am selben Tag aber nicht gemischt mit inaktivierten Impfstoffen des gleichen

Herstellers für Hühner aus der Gallimune-Linie gegen Egg Drop Syndrom (EDS76),

Newcastle-Krankheit, Infektiöse Bronchitis (Mass41) und aviäre Rhinotracheitis

(Swollen Head Syndrom) verwendet werden darf. Es liegen keine Informationen zur

Unschädlichkeit und Wirksamkeit des Impfstoffes bei gleichzeitiger Anwendung eines

anderen veterinärmedizinischen Produktes mit Ausnahme der oben genannten vor. Ob

der Impfstoff vor oder nach Verabreichung eines anderen veterinärmedizinischen

Produktes verwendet werden sollte, muss daher fallweise entschieden werden.

Zusätzlich zu den im Abschnitt "Nebenwirkungen" beschriebenen unerwünschten

Wirkungen wurden nach Verabreichung der doppelten Dosis des Impfstoffes

Entzündungsreaktionen an der Injektionsstelle beobachtet.

BESONDERE VORSICHTSMASSNAHMEN FÜR DIE ENTSORGUNG VON

NICHT VERWENDETEM ARZNEIMITTEL ODER VON

ABFALLMATERIALIEN, SOFERN ERFORDERLICH

Nicht verwendete Tierarzneimittel oder davon stammende Abfallmaterialien sind

entsprechend den nationalen Vorschriften zu entsorgen.

Inaktivierter Impfstoff mit Öladjuvans, der die Ausbildung einer aktiven Immunität von

Junghennen gegen Salmonella Enteritidis und Salmonella Typhimurium bewirkt.

Der Stamm SE ist als Phagentyp 4, der Stamm ST als Phagentyp DT 104 klassifiziert.

Obwohl entsprechende Untersuchungen nicht durchgeführt wurden, ist zu erwarten, dass der

Impfstoff die transovarielle Kontamination der Eier mit Salmonella Enteritidis und die

Kontamination der Eischalen mit Salmonella Typhimurium und Salmonella Enteritidis

reduziert.

"Organic Traditions Shatavari Powder" sold at Choices Markets Yaletown in Vancouver, B.C., contaminated with Salmonella

Health Canada is advising Canadians that one lot of “Organic Traditions Shatavari Powder” is being voluntarily recalled by Advantage Health Matters Inc. Company testing found Salmonella bacteria contamination, which may pose serious health risks. According to Advantage Health Matters Inc., 13 units from the affected lot were distributed. Of the 13 units, only 2 packages, sold at Choices Markets Yaletown (1202 Richards Street) in Vancouver, B.C., have not been recovered.
