Schweine:

Zur Behandlung von bakteriellen Bronchopneumonien bei Schweinen, hervorgerufen durch

Enrofloxacin-empfindliche Actinobacillus pleuro-pneumoniae, Pasteurella multocida und bei

Haemophilus parasuis als sekundärem Erreger.

GEGENANZEIGEN

Nicht zur Prophylaxe anwenden.

Nicht anwenden bei bekannter Überempfindlichkeit gegenüber dem Wirkstoff oder einem der

sonstigen Bestandteile.

Nicht anwenden bei Tieren mit zentralen Anfallsleiden. Nicht anwenden bei bereits

bestehenden Knorpelwachstumsstörungen oder Schädigungen des Bewegungsapparates im

Bereich funktionell besonders beanspruchter oder durch das Körpergewicht besonders

belasteter Gelenke.

Nicht anwenden bei vorliegender Resistenz gegenüber anderen Fluorchinolonen, aufgrund der

möglichen Gefahr einer Kreuzresistenz.

6.

NEBENWIRKUNGEN

In seltenen Fällen kann es zu vorübergehenden lokalen Gewebereaktionen (Schwellungen,

Rötungen) an der Injektionsstelle kommen. Diese klingen innerhalb weniger Tage ohne

weitere ärztliche Maßnahmen ab.

In seltenen Fällen kann die intravenöse Behandlung bei Rindern, vermutlich als Folge von

Kreislaufstörungen, zum Auftreten von Schockreaktionen führen.

In einzelnen Fällen können bei der Behandlung von Kälbern gastrointestinale Störungen

auftreten.

Falls Sie Nebenwirkungen insbesondere solche, die nicht in der Packungsbeilage aufgeführt

sind, bei Ihrem Tier feststellen, teilen Sie diese Ihrem Tierarzt mit.

8.

DOSIERUNG FÜR JEDE TIERART, ART UND DAUER DER ANWENDUNG

Dosierung und Dauer der Anwendung:

Rind:

Bei respiratorischen Erkrankungen: Gabe durch subkutane Injektion:

Eine Einzeldosis von 7,5 mg Enrofloxacin pro kg Körpergewicht und Tag (7,5 ml des

Produkts pro 100 kg Körpergewicht und Tag).

Bei schweren oder chronischen respiratorischen Erkrankungen kann 48 Stunden später eine

zweite Injektion erforderlich sein.

Bei E.coli Mastitiden bei Rindern: Gabe durch langsame intravenöse Injektion.

5 mg Enrofloxacin pro kg Körpergewicht und Tag (5,0 ml des Produkts pro 100 kg

Körpergewicht und Tag) täglich für 2 – 3 Tage.

Schwein:

Bei respiratorischen Erkrankungen: Gabe durch intramuskuläre Injektion in die vordere

Nackenmuskulatur hinter dem Ohr:

Eine Einzeldosis von 7,5 mg Enrofloxacin pro kg Körpergewicht und Tag (0,75 ml des

Produkts pro 10 kg Körpergewicht und Tag).

Bei schweren oder chronischen respiratorischen Erkrankungen kann 48 Stunden später eine

zweite Injektion erforderlich sein.

9.

HINWEISE FÜR DIE RICHTIGE ANWENDUNG

Rinder und Schweine:

Um eine exakte Dosierung zu gewährleisten und Unterdosierungen zu vermeiden, sollte das

Körpergewicht so genau wie möglich ermittelt werden.

Wiederholte Injektionen sollten an einer anderen Stelle verabreicht werden.

Rinder: Pro Injektionsstelle sollten nicht mehr als 15 ml des Produkts (7,5 ml bei Kälbern)

subkutan verabreicht werden.

Schwein: Pro Injektionsstelle sollten nicht mehr als 7,5 ml des Produkts intramuskulär

verabreicht werden.

BESONDERE LAGERUNGSHINWEISE

Arzneimittel unzugänglich für Kinder aufbewahren.

In der Originalverpackung aufbewahren. Nicht einfrieren.

Sie dürfen das Tierarzneimittel nach dem auf dem Etikett angegebenen Verfalldatum nach

dem „Verwendbar bis:“ nicht mehr anwenden.

Haltbarkeit nach dem ersten Anbruch des Behältnisses: 28 Tage

12.

BESONDERE WARNHINWEISE

Bei der Anwendung des Tierarzneimittels sind die amtlichen und örtlichen Regelungen über

den Einsatz von Antibiotika zu berücksichtigen.

Fluorchinolone sollten der Behandlung klinischer Erkrankungen vorbehalten bleiben, die auf

andere Klassen von Antibiotika unzureichend angesprochen haben bzw. bei denen mit einem

unzureichenden Ansprechen zu rechnen ist.

werden.

Tierarzneimittels kann die Prävalenz von Bakterien, die gegen Fluorchinolone resistent sind,

erhöhen und die Wirksamkeit von Behandlungen mit anderen Chinolonen infolge möglicher

Kreuzresistenzen vermindern.

Falls sich innerhalb von 2 bis 3 Tagen keine klinische Besserung einstellt, sind eine

Neubewertung der Behandlung und eine erneute Sensitivitätsprüfung in Erwägung zu ziehen.

Kann während der Trächtigkeit und Laktation angewendet werden.

antagonistische Effekte auftreten. Enrofloxacin kann den Metabolismus von Theophyllin

beeinflussen, so dass die Theophyllin-Clearance erniedrigt wird.

Da keine Kompatibilitätsstudien durchgeführt wurden, darf dieses Tierarzneimittel nicht mit

anderen Tierarzneimitteln gemischt werden.

Beim Rind wurde eine Dosis von 25 mg/kg Körpergewicht bei subkutaner Anwendung über

einen Zeitraum von 15 aufeinanderfolgenden Tagen symptomlos vertragen. Symptome, die

bei extremer Überdosierung beobachtet wurden, beinhalten Lethargie, Lahmheit, Ataxie,

geringgradiges Speicheln und Muskelzittern.

Beim Schwein können Dosen von etwa 25 mg Wirkstoff pro kg Körpergewicht und darüber

Lethargie, Appetitverlust und Ataxie verursachen. Die empfohlene Dosis darf nicht

überschritten werden. Bei versehentlicher Überdosierung muss symptomatisch behandelt

werden, da kein Antidot zur Verfügung steht.

Besondere Vorsichtsmaßnahmen für den Anwender

Den direkten Kontakt mit der Haut vermeiden, da eine Sensibilisierung, Kontaktdermatitis

sowie eine Überempfindlichkeitsreaktion auftreten könnte.

Personen mit bekannter Überempfindlichkeit gegen (Fluor)chinolone sollten den Kontakt mit

dem Tierarzneimittel vermeiden.

Hände nach Gebrauch gründlich waschen.

Jegliche Spritzer in die Augen sofort mit viel sauberem Wasser abwaschen. Falls Reizungen

auftreten, sollte ärztlicher Rat gesucht werden.

Während des Umgangs mit dem Produkt nicht essen, trinken oder rauchen.

Sorgfalt ist geboten, um eine versehentliche Selbstinjektion zu vermeiden.

Bei versehentlicher Selbstinjektion ist unverzüglich ein Arzt zu konsultieren und diesem die

Packungsbeilage oder das Etikett vorzulegen.

NICHT VERWENDETEM ARZNEIMITTEL ODER VON

The antibiotic Zithromax, Zmax (azithromycin) should not be given long-term to prevent a certain inflammatory lung condition in patients with cancers of the blood or lymph nodes who undergo a donor stem cell transplant. Results of a clinical trial found an increased rate of relapse in cancers affecting the blood and lymph nodes, including death, in these patients.
