NEBENWIRKUNGEN

In sehr seltenen Fällen können leichte Gastrointestinalen Störungen vorübergehender Art (wie z.B.

Brechen oder Diarrhöe) auftreten.

Ihrem Tier feststellen, teilen Sie diese Ihrem Tierarzt oder Apotheker mit.

DOSIERUNG FÜR JEDE TIERART, ART UND DAUER DER ANWENDUNG

OSIERUNG

Eine Tablette pro 10 kg Körpergewicht. Das entspricht 15 mg Febantel, 14,4 mg Pyrantelembonat und

5 mg Praziquantel pro kg Körpergewicht.

ART DER ANWENDUNG

Die Tabletten können auf eine der folgenden Weisen verabreicht werden:

Direkt hinten auf die Zunge legen und hinunterschlucken lassen;

Pulverisieren und mit dem Futter vermischen;

In einem Stück Fleisch verabreichen.

Diätmaßnahmen sind nicht erforderlich.

DAUER DER ANWENDUNG

Behandlung von Mischinfektionen mit Rund-und Bandwürmern: einmalige Verabreichung.

Behandlung von Infektionen mit Giardia spp.: Verabreichung während drei aufeinanderfolgenden

Tagen.

Zur Verringerung des Risikos einer erneuten Ansteckung mit Giardia wird empfohlen auch die

Umgebung des Hunde sorgfältig zu reinigen und den Hund zu desinfizieren oder den Hund an einem

anderen Ort unterzubringen, insbesondere bei Hunden die in Zwingern mit anderen Hunden leben.

Insbesondere unter Bedingungen mit hohem Infektionsdruck, kann die Beseitigung von Giardia spp.

bei einzelnen Hunden unvollständig sein, so dass ein mögliches Risiko einer Infektion des Menschen

bestehen bleibt.

Deshalb muss der Hund erneut untersucht werden und, je nach Untersuchungergebnis, gegebenenfalls

erneut behandelt werden in Übereinstimmung mit dem Rat des Tierarztes.

BESONDERE LAGERUNGSHINWEISE

Arzneimittel unzugänglich für Kinder aufbewahren.

Für dieses Tierarzneimittel sind keine besonderen Lagerungsbedingungen erforderlich.

Sie dürfen dieses Tierarzneimittel nach dem auf dem Umkarton und dem Blister nach EXP

angegebenen Datum nicht mehr verwenden. Das Verfalldatum bezieht sich auf den letzten Tag des

angegebenen Monats.

BESONDERE WARNHINWEISE

Besondere Vorsichtsmaßnahmen für die Anwendung bei Tieren:

Flöhen sind Zwischenwert und Infektionsquelle für einen Dipylidiumbefall. Um Reinfektionen zu

vermeiden, sollten Flöhe am Tier sowie an ihren Liegeplätzen gleichzeitig mit einem wirksamen

Insektizid bekämpft werden.

Anwendung während der Trächtigkeit, Laktation oder der Legeperiode

Die Sicherheit von Drontal Dog Flavour während des ersten und zweiten Teiles der Trächtigkeit wurde

nicht untersucht. Deshalb wird der Gebrauch bei trächtigen Hunden während der ersten 40 Tage der

Trächtigkeit nicht empfohlen. Die einmalige Behandlung während des dritten Teils der Trächtigkeit

und während der Laktation ist nachgewiesen sicher zu sein sowohl für die Hündin als auch ihre

Nachkommen.

Die 3 Tage Behandlung von Giardia spp. Infestationen mit Drontal Dog Flavour während des dritten

Teils der Trächtigkeit ausschließlich nach einer Nutzen-Risiko-Einschätzung durch einen Tierarzt

durchführen

Wechselwirkung mit anderen Arzneimittel und andere Wechselwirkungen

Nicht gleichzeitig mit einem anderen piperazinhaltigen Anthelmintika (Wurmmittel) verabreichen.

Überdosierung (Symptome, Notfallmaßnahmen, Gegenmittel)

Nach Verabreichung von 5-mal die therapeutische Dosis können Erbrechen, einen verringerten Appetit

und vorübergehende Durchfallkrisen beobachtet werden.

BESONDERE VORSICHTSMASSNAHMEN FÜR DIE ENTSORGUNG VON NICHT

VERWENDETEM ARZNEIMITTEL ODER VON ABFALLMATERIALIEN, SOFERN

ERFORDERLICH

Nicht verwendete Tierarzneimittel oder davon stammende Abfallmaterialien sind entsprechend den

örtlichen Vorschriften zu entsorgen.
