Lesen Sie diese Packungsbeilage sorgfältig, bevor Sie das Arzneimittel einnehmen.

Dieses Arzneimittel ist Ihnen persönlich verschrieben worden und Sie dürfen es nicht an andere

Personen weitergeben. Auch wenn diese die gleichen Krankheitssymptome haben wie Sie, könnte

ihnen das Arzneimittel schaden.

Filmtabletten, Brausetabletten

Was ist Cyklokapron und wann wird es angewendet?

Cyklokapron ist ein Arzneimittel mit blutstillenden Eigenschaften. Es wird auf Verschreibung des

Arztes oder der Ärztin verwendet, um gynäkologische oder geburtshilfliche Blutungen zu

normalisieren, wie z.B. übermässige Menstruationsblutungen bei Spiralenträgerinnen. Auch können

Blutverluste bei Blutungen im Magen-Darm-Trakt und Nachblutungen nach Operationen beträchtlich

gemindert werden. Auch bei starkem Nasenbluten kann Cyklokapron angewendet werden. Zusätzlich

wird es auch zur Behandlung einer seltenen Erbkrankheit (hereditäres angioneurotisches Ödem)

eingesetzt.

Wann darf Cyklokapron nicht angewendet werden?

Bei akuten oder bekannten Störungen der Blutgerinnung (Manifeste Hyperkoagulabilität, ablaufende

Verbrauchskoagulopathie, Thrombose), Überempfindlichkeit gegenüber dem Wirkstoff

Tranexamsäure oder gegen einen Hilfsstoff von Cyklokapron, bei einer bestimmten Form der

Hirnblutung (Subarachnoidealblutung), bei schwerer Nierenfunktionsstörung (Kumulationsgefahr)

sowie bei bekannter Neigung zu Krampfanfällen darf Cyklokapron nicht eingenommen werden.

Wann ist bei der Einnahme von Cyklokapron Vorsicht geboten?

Bei unregelmässiger Menstruationsblutung muss, bevor mit Cyklokapron behandelt wird, die

Ursache der Unregelmässigkeit geklärt werden. Im Falle einer unzureichenden Wirkung bei

übermässiger Menstruationsblutung sollte eine andere Behandlung in Erwägung gezogen werden.

Es gibt keine klinischen Erfahrungen zur übermässig lang dauernden oder starken

Menstruationsblutung von Patientinnen unter 15 Jahren.

Bei eingeschränkter Nierentätigkeit darf Cyklokapron nur mit Vorsicht und nur in reduzierter Dosis

gemäss Vorschrift Ihres Arztes bzw. Ihrer Ärztin eingenommen werden. Auch bei Blutungen aus den

oberen Harnwegen und bei Neigung oder familiär bekannter Veranlagung zur Entwicklung von

Blutgerinnseln ist bei Einnahme von Cyklokapron Vorsicht geboten.

Cyklokapron sollte bei Patientinnen, die orale hormonale Empfängnisverhütungsmittel

(Kontrazeptiva) einnehmen, aufgrund eines erhöhten Thromboserisikos mit Vorsicht angewendet

werden.

Falls bei Ihnen während einer Behandlung mit Cyklokapron Störungen des Farbensehens oder andere

Sehstörungen auftreten, sollten Sie Ihren Arzt bzw. Ihre Ärztin informieren.

Bei gleichzeitiger Einnahme von Cyklokapron mit anderen Arzneimitteln, welche die Blutgerinnung

beeinflussen (z.B. „blutverdünnende Mittel“, salicylathaltige Schmerz- und Grippemittel wie Aspirin

usw.), kann die Wirkung von Cyklokapron abgeschwächt werden.

Informieren Sie Ihren Arzt oder Apotheker bzw. Ihre Ärztin oder Apothekerin, wenn Sie

- an anderen Krankheiten leiden,

- Allergien haben oder

- andere Arzneimittel (auch selbst gekaufte!) einnehmen oder äusserlich anwenden!

Darf Cyklokapron während einer Schwangerschaft oder in der Stillzeit eingenommen werden?

Wenn Sie schwanger sind oder es werden möchten, sollten Sie vorsichtshalber möglichst auf

Arzneimittel verzichten und Cyklokapron nur einnehmen, wenn es vom Arzt bzw. der Ärztin als

dringend nötig verschrieben wurde.

Es ist bekannt, dass der Wirkstoff von Cyklokapron in geringer Menge in die Muttermilch übergeht,

doch sind Nebenwirkungen beim Kind unwahrscheinlich.

Ihr Arzt bzw. Ihre Ärztin wird über eine Einnahme während der Schwangerschaft oder der Stillzeit

entscheiden.

Wie verwenden Sie Cyklokapron?

Halten Sie sich an die Anordnung Ihres Arztes bzw. Ihrer Ärztin, denn er/sie hat die Dosierung auf

Sie persönlich abgestimmt.

Die nachfolgenden Dosierungen sind lediglich als Hinweis anzusehen.

Standarddosierung, Erwachsene:

2–3mal täglich 2–3 Filmtabletten oder 2–4mal täglich 1 Brausetablette, vorzugsweise nach den

Mahlzeiten mit Flüssigkeit einnehmen. Brausetablette in einem halben Glas Wasser auflösen. Die

Behandlung dauert im Allgemeinen zwischen 3 und 7 Tagen.

Dosierungsempfehlung bei übermässiger Menstruationsblutung:

Sofort nach Beginn starker Blutungen am 1. Tag 4mal täglich 2 Filmtabletten oder 1 Brausetablette,

am 2. und 3. Tag 3mal täglich 2 Filmtabletten oder 1 Brausetablette einnehmen.

Nasenbluten:

Bei langanhaltendem oder wiederkehrendem Nasenbluten 3mal täglich 2 Filmtabletten oder

1 Brausetablette während 7 Tagen einnehmen.

Kinder und Jugendliche

Die Dosierung für Kinder wird der Arzt bzw. die Ärztin aufgrund des Körpergewichts berechnen.

Ändern Sie nicht von sich aus die verschriebene Dosierung. Wenn Sie glauben, das Arzneimittel

wirke zu schwach oder zu stark, so sprechen Sie mit Ihrem Arzt oder Apotheker bzw. Ihrer Ärztin

oder Apothekerin.

Welche Nebenwirkungen kann Cyklokapron haben?

Die am häufigsten berichteten Nebenwirkungen sind – abhängig von der Dosierung – Magen-Darm-

Beschwerden wie Übelkeit, Erbrechen und Durchfall (über 5% der Fälle), welche jedoch nach

Reduktion der Dosis verschwinden.

Weitere häufig auftretende Nebenwirkungen sind:

-Bauchschmerzen, Kopfschmerzen oder Schwindel.

Gelegentlich:

-allergische Hautreaktionen.

Selten:

-Ereignisse aufgrund von Blutgerinnselbildung wie Lungenembolie oder Hirnschlag, Sehstörungen,

einschliesslich Störungen des Farbensehens.

Sehr selten:

-Veränderungen von Blutlaborwerten, Entwicklung einer krankhaft verlängerten Blutungszeit,

Überempfindlichkeitsreaktionen einschliesslich Anaphylaxie (akute allergische Reaktion).

Häufigkeit nicht bekannt:

-Neigung zu Krampfanfällen besonders bei fehlerhafter Anwendung.

Wenn Sie Nebenwirkungen bemerken, die hier nicht beschrieben sind, sollten Sie Ihren Arzt oder

Apotheker bzw. Ihre Ärztin oder Apothekerin informieren.

Was ist ferner zu beachten?

Das Arzneimittel darf nur bis zu dem auf dem Behälter mit „EXP“ bezeichneten Datum verwendet

werden.

Cyklokapron bei Raumtemperatur (15–25°C) und für Kinder unerreichbar aufbewahren.

Weitere Auskünfte erteilt Ihnen Ihr Arzt oder Apotheker bzw. Ihre Ärztin oder Apothekerin. Diese

Personen verfügen über die ausführliche Fachinformation.

Was ist in Cyklokapron enthalten?

1 Filmtablette enthält 500 mg des Wirkstoffs Tranexamsäure, den Aromastoff Vanillin und weitere

Hilfsstoffe.

1 Brausetablette enthält 1000 mg des Wirkstoffs Tranexamsäure, den Aromastoff Orange und

weitere Hilfsstoffe.
